Some buttons, a prima and a glittered heart... happy sigh

Hi everyone!  While I was cruisin' around my Craft Warehouse the other day, I literally stopped in my tracks at the GORGEOUS Prima flowers (Camelot Roses Gwenlyn)!  Wha...?!?  SOOO pretty!

These inspired me to pull out my Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris, that I got from the Stamp Simply Store.  Sharon is out of this paper now, but she has some wonderful Graphic 45 papers that have the same vintage-y feel!

My card follows Jen's Sketch For You to Try.  I loved that 3rd panel on the sketch, I just HAD to use some of the fabulous chocolate Velvet ribbon that I have been hoarding.  It was almost painful to cut into that loveliness!!  Even MORE so because I messed up my first piece -  SOB!  The glittered chipboard heart is by Melissa Frances and the wonderful sentiment is from Verve's So Happy set - this set is an oldie, but goodie!!

Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

Card Deets:
Stamps - So Happy (Verve Stamps)
Ink - Old Photo Distress ink (Ranger)
Paper - Vintage Cream, Postcards from Paris (Webster's Pages)
Accessories - Circle Nesties, Prima flower, buttons (Pinkhedgehog Papercrafts), 3/4" brown velvet ribbon and Jute string (Stamp Simply Ribbon store), Glittered chipboard heart (Melissa Frances), sponge, sewing machine

Grateful Butterflies

Hi everyone!  I have a couple cards to share with you.  I had some time to stamp this weekend just for fun!  Don't cha just LOVE that!?!

This first card is for the Embellish Magazine challenge, to use Kraft, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush and stitching on your card.  OK, ummmm, I totally forgot to write down the STITCHING part of the challenge on my post-it note!  So, can we pretend that I sewed the pom-pom fringe on my card?  Please?  The sentiment is from Verve's amazing Thankful Hearts set.

I used my SU butterfly dies and embossing folders for this one, I also used my new SU border punch.  The beautiful rose flower is from Zva Creative as are all the pink pearls.  I found the pom-pom fringe at Craft Warehouse and it comes in LOTS of colors!  I had to buy 5 -2 shades of pink, white and 2 shades of yellow, fun fun!!

This next card uses Ippity's Where You Should Be set.  I love this stamp, can you believe this is the first time I used it?  This one is REALLY CAS.  A small piece of Bella Blvd paper ("Nana's Apron" piece), kiwi kiss border punch, some primas and rhinestones.  Easy peasy!

Some of you may have noticed I didn't post a DT card for this week's H{ippity} Hop.  I am sad to announce that I had to step down from the team.  It was a difficult decision for me as you all know my love for Unity/Ippity stamps and the girls on the team.  But I had a bit too much on my plate and my family time was suffering.  Sometimes these decisions must be made.

Never fear!  You will see PLENTY of Unity/Ippity creations from me and you can still buy Ippity Stamps from me!  AND I just re-ordered Where You Should Be, so my PayPal buttons are back up and running!!  There is one day of my SALE left, so check it out.

Speaking of SALES, Rachel is offering a couple of discounts at her store.   Now thru Wed: 15% off with Code STPAT and now thru the 10th: 25% off Bella Blvd and Imaginisce no code needed.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #52

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out this creation!  It's a combo cake/cupcake BONANZA!  Look at the fun flowers and colors?!  Pretty cute, huh?!?

I was inspired by the hot pink trim on the plates and flowers and matted my layers with Raspberry Fizz!  I colored my Miss Anya Love image, with copic markers and added some pearl accents.  I often get asked what ink I use with my copic markers.  HANDS DOWN, Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa.  It does not need to be heat set and doesn't smear at all with copics!

The pattern paper is Basic Grey, Green at Heart.  I did a bit of stitching around the frame -both straight and zig-zag!  Whoa, GO me!!  LOL!

I used Mercy's sketch #62 for the layout.  I love this one, simple and pretty.  Great sketch to showcase an image.  And see the cording thru the button?  That was recycled from some packaging on one of my boys toys!  The perfect size, I didn't trim it or anything.  The pearl pins were from my craft supply.

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC52 when uploading to SCS. Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

Now head on over to the Sweeties and see how they rocked these adorable cupcakes!!!!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this week's Friday Friends with Flair! Angela has the master list of all the 50 designers participating in the FWF this week, so take a lookie at the Unity Blog for the names/links of everyone.

Today, I am sharing a couple cards I made using the FUN and CUTE Unity set called Stylin' Stars.  I LOVE the stars in this set!   I mean, a HOUNDS TOOTH STAR?  Be still my heart!  The sentiment from Ippity's Moon Beam and Heart Strings set and doesn't it match them perfectly?!?  Both cards use paper from Basic Grey's new 6x6 Kioshi and are accented with blue rhinestones.  On the purple toned card, I used some Zva Creative crystal flourish leftovers pieces I had.  On 2 of the flourish ends, I snipped off the last rhinestone and replaced it with a blue one.

This first card uses this week's Fall To Layout #83:

This card uses this week's Sketch For You to Try:

JustRite Day 2 Mega March blog hop

Hi everyone and welcome to DAY 2 of the JustRite Stampers MEGA MARCH BLOG HOP!

I was thrilled to be asked to be a part of this amazing blog hop! I have a couple projects to share. All my supplies are from Sharon's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

First up, I made a card using the gorgeous image from the JustRite Breath of Spring set. I colored and cut out the image and popped it up inside the circle frame image from the My Garden set. I love using circle Nestabilities to create frames with these circle borders. I colored it with copic markers and popped it up on dimensions.

The lovely paper is from the Kaiser Craft, Lilac Avenue pad -such amazing purple, yellow and green colors in this line! I went with pops of yellow throughout the card, and the Yellow Twill ribbon was the final touch!

My card uses my friend Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. Here is a detail picture.

These next two cards use the JustRite Stampers Brayton Font and the From the Desk Of set. I made a couple masculine monogram cards for my dad. He is a very manly man, so I kept things VERY minimal.Seriously, I just HAD to make these when I saw the amazing papers in the Webster's Pages, A Proper Gentlemen pad. WHOA, these papers are so masculine and regal. Aren't they amazing? I show another piece in the pack for the card photos.

I used a small piece of the Brown Twill ribbon and a couple brads at the bottom. The circles were made from Circle Nestabilities .

Here are the blog hop details:

30 designers, FIVE shopping sprees each day. No one knows where the prizes will be! Each day of the hop JustRite will have five Mystery Blog Candy Prizes hidden along the hop with a total retail value of $600. JustRite will randomly select five mystery blogs each day of the hop and randomly allocate each of the shopping sprees. For your chance to win, simply leave a little love (a comment) on each designer’s blog including the JustRite blog. The more designers you leave comments with, the better your chances of winning. Each day’s comments will remain open for three days. A winner from each of the mystery blogs’ comments will be randomly chosen using Random.org. Consult the listing of designers at the JustRite blog each day (each day’s designers will be different) and start out on your way! Beginning Friday, March 26, summaries of all the winners will be posted on the JustRite blog. Good luck to everyone and enjoy all the JustRite eye candy along the hop!

Viva la Verve!

Hi everyone! I have a Viva la Verve challenge card to share. Each week, Amber challenges everyone with a wonderful sketch and some inspiration photos. This week's cutie pie apron inspiration photo caught my eye. I WANT this apron! I also combined this with Lisa's new Poppy Seed challenge #2 challenge -to use polka dots, buttons, and the color spring moss.
Uhhh... I'm not so sure about this card. I futzed and fiddled around with this one ALL last night. I finally settled on "this one is bright"!! LOL!

I used paper from the Basic Grey, Green at Heart 6x6 pad and some White Twill ribbon. I had buttons at the bottom of the twill pieces, but it just didn't work. So I punched some Spring Moss paper and cut out the center of the main flower to layer on top instead.

The main flower is from Verve's Love's Flower set, and the top 2 layers were pieced the bottom layer is white cardstock. See the tiny border punch above the bottom panel? I love the scale and delicate feel of this punch called Dotted Scallop, it's perfect for that little something extra! Rach is out of stock right now, so shoot her an email.

We would love you to play along!! Please use keyword VLVMAR2010 when uploading to SCS.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Love's Flower
Ink
- Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper
- white, Basic Grey -Green at Heart

Accessories
- White twill ribbon (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), Linen thread (SU!), purple button and yellow rhinestones, dotted scallop border punch (EK Success), score-tape

Monday H{ippity} Hop

Hi everyone! Today is Monday and that means another H{ippity} Hop!! Be sure to go to the {ippity} blog to see the master list of all the players.

As always, the Design Team brings you a new H{ippity} Hop challenge and this week it's brought to you by ME!!!! I have challenged you all to use chipboard on your cards! I used a chipboard frame from American Crafts, Thickers. I took the adhesive part off the back and dipped THAT side into my glitter. EASY PEASY! My glitter of choice is by Art Glitter, I love Ultrafine glitter in Crystal (85)!!

On this card, I used my favorite Ippity set Where You Should Be. I stamped the image first in Vintage Photo distress ink and again in Cameo Coral ink. I cut the Cameo Coral image out and popped it above the other. I added a couple of tiny green crystal accents by Zva Creative to both the image and below the sentiment. The amazing pattern paper is the new line from Basic Grey, Green at Heart. The sentiment is from Just Wanted to Say. See? More stitching and sponging? Dude, what's going on with me? LOL!

A couple sketch cards

Hi everyone! I have a couple sketch cards to share with you today. First up, Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch. I love the simplicity of this week's sketch. And now that Karen is one of my fellow HSE SWEETIES, I need to make time play along more and support my girl!!

I used my new favorite pattern paper (sorry Early Bird, can't do shabby chic with you), Devonshire by KaiserCraft. I used some lace from my stash and the beautiful flower blooms are from Verve's new set, Feel the Sun. The sentiment is from Big Wish -told you this set would be my GO TO set for birthday sentiments!

All the flowers are stamped and pieced from pattern paper, I even found a piece that was embossed with Swiss Dots tucked in my scraps! I thought it added some texture and used it on 2!

Next up is a card for today's SCS sketch challenge. I used the cute masculine set from Skipping Stones design -I can't find the name and link to the set right now, but I will add it as soon as I can find it. I created the background from the many screw, hammer, bolts, and screwdriver images -even the tread panel is a stamp!

The pattern paper is Archaic from Basic Grey. I rediscovered this paper as I was cleaning out my Basic Grey stash! I love the patterns in this pad.

Thanks for stopping by.
