Stamp Simply Faith, Hope & Love release

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing 2 cards I made with the newest release from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps. Sharon released 4 new sets Faith, Hope & Love and Wedding & Anniversary Wishes. You can find the entire release here.

My card uses the Wedding & Anniversary Wishes set. I made 2 quick and easy cards.
For the Thank You card, I stamped the bouquet on the vase image and colored them with Zig markers.  I used a bit of patterned paper from Kaisercraft Paisley Days pad. I added a few die cuts (from the Fishtail Sentiment Banners and Floral Cluster and Sprig dies) at the top corner topped with a small silk bow.
For the Wedding card, I stamped the bouquet on the stems image and colored them with copic markers. I centered it inside a scalloped oval frame (made with Spellbinders oval dies), added some scoring to the background panel and was done. This card was so simple to make and with a quick change in sentiment, could be for many occasions.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Cheerful note with spring pansies

Hi everyone! I have another fun card to share using the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps new Floral Cluster release stamp/die sets. This card uses the Floral Cluster Spring Pansies set. I love this set because the main flower in the image is large enough to use on it's own.
I used my copics to color these and fussy cut the large pansy out of the cluster. I love the little branch images from the coordinating die set Floral Cluster and Sprigs and used it for the leaf clusters. I love combining white leaves with pretty flowers. Such a crisp look.
The paper is from the Kaisercraft pad called Paisley Days. I love this paper!! You can kinda see in the photo that the sheets I used have embossing on them. Swoon!! I used a piece from the die cut borders at the back of the pack to tuck under the ribbon piece.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Other supplies used:
Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and Small
Yellow stickles
Corner rounder
Kaisercraft Lippy Red rhinestones
May Arts faux canvas ribbon in White

Sending a cozy hello

Hi everyone! I have another fun coffee card to share. This one is from Unity's set One Sip at a Time. I just LOVE this cup with the flowers. Be still my heart!
I was able to get more copic coloring practice in with this. I colored them using the red markers, R27, R35 and R22 -this is one of my go to "coral/red" color combos. Turned out so pretty. I may try this again with blues. That would be a challenge as I have yet to make blue flowers!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
Other supplies used:
Kaisercraft Rosabella 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad
FSJ black/white twine
Little Bee 1/8" washi tape

New JAVA stamps and dies -Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Hi everyone! I have a fun project to share today featuring brand new stamp and die sets from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps. The stamp set is called A Cup of Java and the die set is called Java. They coordinate with each other, but can stand on their own and will coordinate with any coffee stamps and dies you already have in your collection!
I made a gift card holder using some papers from the Rosabella paper pad from Kaisercraft and added a few hearts from the Farmhouse Pierced Nested Hearts die set and of course, some coral faux canvas ribbon which is part of the Living Coral Ribbon Sampler.
Here's the inside of the gift card holder. Super adorable with that mug! I die cut the steam piece 3 times and used it as decoration.
The gift card holder is pretty easy to make with only 5 steps:
1. Trim 12x12 cardstock to 4.25" x 9" (If you don't have 12x12, you can use 8.5" and adjust the scored lines by 1/4")
2. Score 2 lines at the 3" and 6" mark
3. Fold at the scored lines and trim the right end panel at a diagonal
4. Using 1/4" scor-tape (or similar) adhere across the bottom and up the inside corner
5. For the belly band, trim cardstock 1" x 6.5", score 2" and 5" mark and adhere where it overlaps around the back
Here's the complete stamp and die set, aren't they the cutest?!?
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Facebook page throughout the week for more Java inspiration!

Loving Memory sympathy card

Hi everyone! I have a sympathy card to share today using the new Sympathy Sentiments SET 1 from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
I've said many times, sympathy cards are hard to make and having a beautiful stamp set can help. I kept this one visually simple, but added subtle details in the background using the Fancy Lattice over a piece of patterned paper from the Cherry Tree Lane paper pad by Kaisercraft. I love that the paper has some embossing parts to it and they peak through the lattice openings.
I made the double bow using the bow easy with some 1/4" silk ribbon topped with a Mini Blooms flower in Coconut.  I also added a thin line of stickles around the rectangle opening for a bit of sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Other supplies used:
May Arts 1/4" silk ribbon in Blue-Grey
Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B
Spellbinders Splendid Circle dies
Spellbinders Standard Circles dies
Kaisercraft White Pearls

Trio of cake themed note cards

Hi everyone! I have some fun note cards to share. Throughout February I've been coloring images as part of the The Daily Marker 30 day color challenge. I had these cute cakes colored and ready to go! I saw the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today and figured this layout was perfect for them.

My sister gives her gifts in gift bags. She's a busy career woman and loves the convenience of gift bags (I mean who doesn't?). I made this trio of 3x3 note cards for her to include in her gift bag. She also loves this size because the inside is small and she doesn't have to write much!
The cakes are from the Stampin' Up stamp set called Piece of Cake. I just love it! Lots of cake options and cute sentiments. I actually won this as one of the monthly prizes my lovely demo, Janna Williams gives away! Free pretty stamps? I was so excited to win!

If your thinking of playing along in this week's Freshly Made Sketch here it is:
Thanks for stopping by and I wanted to leave you with  close ups of each note card. All the patterned paper and ribbons are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. The patterned papers are a variety, 2 are Kaisercraft and the striped piece below is from the new MME Gingham Farm pad.
The ribbons I used on this one are all the May Arts Faux Canvas and the colors matched perfectly with the ombre coloring of the cake. This was a happy accident! I used Royal Blue, Light Blue and Gray.
And look how amazing this little bow is? May Arts Silk ribbon ties like none other! This is the 1/4" in Charcoal, which is of the new 2016 release colors.

Clean, simple and elegant sympathy card

Hi everyone! I have a simple sympathy card to share with you today. I used one of the new sympathy sets that Stamp Simply Clear Stamps just released!
My card uses the Sympathy Sentiments SET 2 and is a 4 1/4" square. I really love square cards, I should make them more often!
The rose image is from the set Thinking of You Rose and the paper is from the brand new Bellarose pad from Kaisercraft. I really love this paper! I colored the rose with copics to match the little flowers on the black strip of patterned paper. I kept things very simple and tied a small piece of 1/8" black silk ribbon around the stem and added some rhinestone accents.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Mojo roses

Hi everyone! It's no secret my favorite flower is a rose. I mean, I DID name my blog after them! lol! So I was very happy to see that my friend Mendi, who owns Sunny Studio Stamps released a delightful stamp set featuring roses called Everything's Rosy. These are multi step images, and by multi, I mean 5 for each rose! Yes, and the detail on the images is just stunning. Here's a fun picture of my desk while I was playing around with color combinations! I had some crazy inky fingers when I was done.
As soon as I saw Julee's Mojo Monday sketch #507 earlier this morning I knew I wanted to use it with the roses I made yesterday. Match made in heaven. Here's my card.
The fabulous patterned paper is from Kaisercraft their Ooh La La paper pad. I love how there are some nice neutral prints (woodgrain and heathered solids) as well as some with pale blue and coral!! I added some silver metallic string across the thin strip panel and used a few silver pearls as the final accent.
Here's Julee's sketch if you want to play along. Notice she gives the measurements on each panel? Made this super easy to put together! Thanks Julee!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Valentines Day

Hi everyone! I have a fun Valentines day card to share and I can't believe how fast Valentines is approaching! I've been busy reorganizing and falling back in love with my craft area (if you follow me on Instagram or FB, you'll have seen some pictures). After I'm completely finished, I'll do a blog post with lots of photos!

Back to my card. I fussy cut the sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiments SET 1 and popped it over a diagonal strip of die cuts. To make the strip, I used the smallest die from the Fishtail Sentiment Banners dies and adhered alternating die cuts, end to end. I used 3 kinds of papers and I let the gorgeous gold embossed paper dictate the other colors I chose. The paper is from the Kaisercraft Fleur 6.5 x 6.5 paper pack.  I've used a lot of this paper pad, because it's JUST THAT PRETTY!
Both the stamp and dies are from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Other supplies used:
Accessories: May Arts Gold Metallic String; Prima Flowers Bloom Freshly Picked; KaiserCraft Mini Paper Blooms in Iceberg

Time for challenges

Hi everyone! I am loving having time to play along in some of my favorite challenges. This is how I started stamping and it feels good to get back into it. If you find yourself with some time and/or need inspiration to get started, here are a few of my favorite challenges:
I've been out of the loop for years now, so if you have any other challenges you love, let me know!!

I played in this week's SCS Featured Stamper challenge and for those of you who are new to this challenge, each week a stamper is profiled and the challenge is to go through their gallery and CASE a card changing a few things to make it your own. This week the featured stamper is Kathy Schweinfurth and I chose to CASE this card.
I changed the papers, stamped images and sentiment. I kept the overall feel and layout of the card. My card uses the cup from the Coffee or Tea die set, the roses from Thinking of You Rose and sentiment from Farmhouse Simple Sentiments
I colored the roses with Copics using 2 colors for the roses and 2 for the leaves. After watching hours on YouTube with all the fancy copic coloring, I am finding that I am more of a simple colorer. I think it looks amazing using 5 different shades for a flower, but just as pretty using 2!
Other products used:
Patterned paper: Down on the Farm by Doodlebug for background papers; Fleur by Kaisercraft for the paper piecing on the mug
Embellishments: Black/White baker's twine from May Arts; Pink sequins

Flowahbella -memories of past challenge

***Hi everyone! If you're here for the Season's Givings blog post, scroll down***

I have been doing some MAJOR cleaning out in my craft area. Bringing out boxes of supplies from storage and going through everything. I am thoroughly enjoying using products from any and all companies! So this week's SCS CAS514 challenge was just what I was looking for -Memories of Past. To use your first stamp set, bring out paper or a technique you used in the past. Well, I brought out my long retired, and very beloved, Flowahbella stamp from Stamping Bella. One of my first loves and stamps. I have 8 cards using her in my SCS gallery. WOW.
I combined this challenge with Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch 506 which she revived a month or so ago. SO happy she did this. Sketches are always a challenge for me. She makes it easy -thank you Julee!!
So here she is! In her CORAL glory. I used the patterned paper from the Fleur KaiserCraft pack and used a piece of coral ribbon from the Pantone Color of the Year Ribbon Sampler from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. It's a CAS challenge, so I kept things to the bare minimum and only added one flower from the Petaloo Botanica Minis in coral.  I also used my Copics which was pretty much first time in over 3 years! I'm a bit rusty but it's coming back to me.
Here's the sketch if you want to play along.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Oh, before I go and speaking of cleaning out supplies, there are many Spellbinders dies and stamp sets I have that I will no longer use. I've considered putting a For Sale page here on my blog listing all the products I want to sell. If this is something that would interest you leave me a comment.

Quick and easy birthday cards using Pantone's CORAL

Hi everyone! I have a fun birthday card trio to share. They were all inspired by the ribbons from the Pantone Color of the Year sampler -Living Coral!
I LOVE THIS COLOR and want to extend my greatest thanks to Pantone for nailing it this year!!
This is my go-to layout for quick, easy and pretty cards. Just gather some patterned paper and ribbon scraps and a versatile Sentiment stamp set and you're ready to go! And this is the time of year to stock up for 2019.
Trim your patterned paper 3.75" x 2.25" then die cut (or punch if you have a border punch) a border and trim sentiment panel to 4.25" x 3" and assemble!
The ribbon sampler is in 1 yard increments, so if you want to make it stretch, just tape both ends at the back of the panel instead of wrapping and you can make several cards with just the 1 yard.
The sentiment is from the set, Farmhouse All Occasion Greetings. There are so many great sentiments in this set, with it you could make a year of cards!
The patterned paper is from 2 different Kaisercraft packs, both have great patterns that coordinate with coral. The Ooh La La pack has more of a elegant feel and the Spring Bloom pack has more of a fun bright happy feel. And I love that the ribbon sampler has ribbons that fit both. The flowers are from Petaloo the Botanica mini packs in Coral and White. I'm in love with these flowers, I want some in EVERY color (p.s. there are 18!!)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Christmas Thank Yous

Hi everyone!  Well, the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, we decked the halls and had Merry Christmas!  Now it's time to start the clean up, do laundry, reheat left overs and start with the thank you notes!

I have a couple cards to share with you today.  These measure 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and all use the same layout, are relatively flat and easy to mail. I look at these thank you cards as a great way to use up all that Christmas pattern paper I still have left over.

I die cut and embossed two nesting Circles SM dies to make a thin cardstock frame and die cut a poinsettia for the center.  I put some pattern paper, a cardstock border and a piece of ribbon along the bottom and was done!
Here is a picture of what I made so far.  I have about 10 to go!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy New Year!!  Stay tuned on New Years day for a special blog hop and giveaway!

Magic of Christmas

Hi everyone!  I have another Christmas card to share as part of The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store 12 days of CAS Christmas series.  This card isn't quite CAS, but it sure was fun to make!
To make the poinsettia flowers, I die cut the poinsettias using the Layered Poinsettia die set then stamped the poinsettia image from the Festive Poinsettia stamp set (which is on sale!) and embossed it with clear powder.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Inner Thoughts stamp set.  I made the doily layers from the Delightful Circles die set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

12 Days of CAS Christmas, Day 3

Hi everyone!!  Welcome to the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store 12 Days of CAS Christmas!  We know this is the time of the year to start mass producing our hand made Christmas cards and we are all looking for some CAS card design inspiration.  Every evening one of the team members will share their cards and you can find them all over on Sharon's blog.

I have 2 cards to share tonight.  First up is a card using the new JustRite stamp set Festive Poinsettia which coordinates with Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die set.  I LOVE this set so many possibilities.  To make my poinsettia flowers, I die cut the cardstock first then stamped the design with GoldenGlitz Delicata ink.  Be sure to set them aside to dry, Delicata ink is a rich shiny pigment ink and takes awhile to dry.
The pattern paper is from the Kaisercraft, Christmas Carol pad and the sentiment is from JR's Christmas Antique Labels One.
Next up is a super easy card.  One of the things I love about Kaisercraft paper pads is they have 3 or 4 pages of die cuts at the back!  They have sentiment labels, blank labels and borders!  This card came together pretty quick.  I cut 2 panels of pattern paper and added a piece of velvet with gold dots ribbon across the seam.  Lastly I added some gold cord and a die cut sentiment label.  Along the top and bottom, I die cut and trimmed some red pattern paper using the Spellbinders On The Edge scallop die which added an extra step, but you could easily omit that step and keep it a straight piece.
Thanks for stopping by and may your Christmas cards be flat!!  lol!
Here are some close up pictures

Clean and Simple Christmas

Hi everyone!  Welcome to another Stamp Simply CAS Christmas Wednesday!  Each Wednesday from now until Christmas, Sharon will start a hop from her blog with the some of the DT showing some quick and easy Christmas card designs.

Today my card is super simple, I used a couple strips of pattern paper, ribbon, stamps and some rhinestones.  The pattern paper is the new Christmas paper from Kaisercraft, Twig and Berry and the ornament stamp is from the JustRite stamp set, Noel Christmas Ornaments.
This design was so easy that I made another almost identical.  Just a different border and sentiment.  These would be easy to make in mass for my Christmas cards.
Now head on over to Sharon's blog and see what Christmas inspiration she has for you.  She didn't have a chance to make a card, but she DOES have some new amazing Christmas goodies in the store!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.
All supplies can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Card Deets:
Stamps - Noel Christmas Ornaments (JustRite Papercraft)

Paper - White and kraft cardstock; Twig and Berry (Kaisercraft)
