Christmas Blessings - Angels Among Us

I colored the Angel image with a few Copic markers and framed her with some circle rings in pale blue, white and silver mirror cardstock. I added some sparkle to her wings and dress details with a clear sparkle gel pen.

The background was created with a stencil and Cloud Whip colored with a few drops of Royal Blue Pops of Color.

Mini Slimline Christmas Mitten cards

Hi everyone! I have a pair of mini slimline cards to share using Stamp Simply Clear Stamps NEW Christmas release. The release is small, but oh so adorable! It has a couple stamp sets, a coordinating die set and some word dies. You can check out the entire release here.

I used the mitten dies and die cut them from patterned papers by Carta Bella. I really love the style of Carta Bella, they are not too frilly or ornate and I love the traditional colors and patterns they use.

There is one mitten die in the set, but it's easy to get the mitten facing the other way by reversing the patterned paper and die cutting it from the back. Then to flatten out the die cut "curves" I used a bone folder. With the patterns on the mitten you can't even tell the die cut is up side down. I dressed up the mittens with a die cut snowflake and some gems.

The sentiments are from the Peace & Joy Word die set and you will notice that on each I trimmed them a little to fit them into the space I had on the card. For the Joy sentiment, I kept all the swirls at the bottom and trimmed a little off the top. And for the Peace sentiment, I trimmed all of the swirls, making it more clean and simple. I love the versatility with these dies!

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps -Have a Cup on Us

Hi everyone! Attention coffee lovers!!

I am excited to share a card using the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps NEW Have a Cup on Us stamp and die set!

It's a darling set and perfect for all of us coffee lovers!!

The stamp set has 3 sizes of cups and each size has a plain cup and a cute patterned one. I chose the largest patterned cup for my card and colored in the dots with my Zig markers. Once they dried, I added some Glossy Accents on each dot to create a "ceramic" effect. 

I heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark ink and black embossing powder, so it would match the glossy dots. I then added some die cuts from the Two Sprigs die set and placed them "overflowing" from each cup.

2021 Christmas card designs

Hi everyone! I thought I would take a few minutes and share some of the Christmas cards I will be sending out this year.  I've neglected this blog quite a bit, so if you are interested in following my work more frequently, you can follow my Instagram account. I post there more regularly.

First up are 2 cutie penguin cards. The first one is my favorite. I love the cozy sweater knit embossing folder with the penguin and matching blue poinsettia from the Christmas Blooms die set by Spellbinders. All of it together makes me want to hug something!

I went old school CAS with the second one -simply colored image and some patterned paper. CAS and flat for mailing!  Both cards use Playful Pengiuns by Gina K Designs
Welcome Winter 6x6 paper by Carta Bella

Next up is an adorable pick up truck filled with poinsettias! Kind of going with a farmhouse feel with this one. The truck is from the Spellbinders Holiday Haul - Small die of the month and the gorgeous poinsettias from Concord and 9th, Fresh Cut Florals 4 die set.

At this point I kind of decided to use poinsettias on the majority of my holiday cards and these next 2 use one of my new favorites, the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms (shop Christmas Blooms at Scrapbook.com).

For the sentiment I used Spellbinders Create a Christmas Sentiments.

The gorgeous cover plate dies on the base are the Stitched Stripe and Quilted card fronts by Concord and 9th. 

Patterned papers are Home for Christmas by Echo Park.

I have time to share 1 more card. This one is a mini slimline and once again features the Christmas Blooms poinsettias (shop Christmas Blooms at Scrapbook.com) by Spellbinders. The sentiment strips are from Gina K Designs, they come in black and white and are so easy to pop onto any card! The patterned paper in the background is from the Happy Christmas collection by Carta Bella.
I love this mini slimline design because regular 6x6 papers will fit and boy oh boy do I have a lot of paper!! 😍

Merry Christmas Cardinal

 Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card using the newly released set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps called, God Will Take Care of You. I combined the beautiful cardinal image with a sentiment from the set, Jesus.

I created the wreath the cardinal sits in by die cutting several circle rings from white, green and gold mirror cardstock. At the bottom I added sprigs from the same papers die cut from the Two Sprigs die set. I added a double bow from some 1/4" silk ribbon in red using the Bow Easy template.

Stamp Simply Poinsettia card

 Hi everyone! I've had quite a challenging last week, so I am behind in posting some of the projects I've made. Here is a Christmas card using Stamp Simply Clear Stamps Floral Cluster Winter Poinsettia set. It's one of my favorite Christmas sets they have!

I colored the poinsettia with copics and used a few die cut frames I had in my stash for the background. The poinsettia in the bottom corner is fussy cut from the larger one. With all the layers, you can get 3 sizes of flowers with some fussy cutting!

Water colored poppies -Stamp Simply Summer Florals release

 Hi everyone! Today Stamp Simply released their Summer Florals stamps and dies and I'm excited to share a water color card using the stamp set, Pretty Poppies! Take a look!

My card is pretty simple. I used my MeiLiang watercolor palette to color the poppies, added a couple jewels, piece of 1/8" black silk ribbon and a strip of black/white striped paper.

I haven't water colored in awhile, and it does not come to me naturally. So after pulling up an image search as my reference, I colored these beauties over the course of a few evenings and I love how they turned out.

White daffodil hexagon card

Hi everyone! I'm back on the Stamp Simply blog with this hexagon shaped card using the white daffodils image I colored last week. I just love how simple and pretty this card turned out. 

If you haven't had the chance to pop over to check out Stamp Simply's Easter and Baptism mini release, be sure to do so! I haven't had a chance to ink up the adorable Easter bunny, but it's on my list!

I used an older FSJ striped embossing folder for a bit of texture, but I tried out several embossed patterns and they ALL looked great as the backdrop for the daffodils. These are just that pretty! I kept things quick and easy with a touch of 1/4" silk ribbon, some shiny silk splatter and a few gems.

Stamp Simply Easter and Baptism mini release

Hi everyone! Today I am helping to introduce the new Stamp Simply Clear Stamps Easter mini release! This release has 3 stamp sets He Lives, Easter is for Jesus and the much requested sentiment only set called Baptism, Dedication, Confirmation, Communion!

My cards uses the lovely daffodils image from the He Lives set. This card is almost a single layer! I colored the daffodils in yellow, drew in the frame and accent dots and matted it to a piece of patterned paper. I love how this is flat and easy to mail!

Next I colored the daffodils white! White flowers can be tricky. The key is to use some grays and maybe a few other light colors to create shading. I haven't made this into a card yet, but here are the colors I used for shading the daffodil petals.

Wildflower Stems thank you cards

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted or crafted. Truth is I had to take a break as I was in a bit of a depression and had a very sad heart (2020 can suck it!). I finally found some inspiration to craft again after seeing many crafters sending Thank You cards to the janitorial staff at the DC Capitol for their heroic clean up the evening of January 6th. These cards are for them.

I absolutely LOVE this Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems 2. I bought these over the summer and was excited to take them out and finally use them!!

For my first card, I die cut the stems from Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored them with Zig Markers. I placed them over the fantastic cover plate called Geometric Circles from The Ton and a piece of faux canvas ribbon in Light Blue and used a few small sequins as accents. The sentiment is from the very versatile All Occasions Sentiments Set 2 from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

This next card is super simple. I die cut the stems in both white and gray cardstock and layered them for a subtle shadow effect. I used a piece of Craft Consortium's new papers called Ink Drops Dusk. These papers are GORGEOUS and an easy way for you to get that amazing reinker technique look without all the work and purchasing supplies! I tied a piece of 1/4" silk ribbon in Blue Grey around the bottom -as you can see in the picture, the color isn't really a Blue Grey, I would call it more of a light neutral gray. And lastly, again, I used the Thank You sentiment from All Occasions Sentiments Set 2 from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

My last card has some fun layering with Cloud Whip paste and Ultra-fine glitter! I don't have any of the new glitter paste that's out, so I just sprinkled some glitter over the paste and scraped it over the stencil. It worked really well! This time, I die cut the stems from a piece of Craft Consortium's new papers called Ink Drops Vivid this pack has more vibrant and bold colors than the Dusk pad. I love how the stems turned out! With all the sparkle in the background I didn't embellish it with much more than a few sequins. The sentiment is from Typewritten Year Round Greetings by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

Stamp Simply Seasonal Wreath release!

Hi everyone! Welcome to release week for Stamp Simply! Sharon is releasing 2 wreath sets that are interchangeable and perfect year round. Each set has a wreath, 2 images that fits into the opening and many all occasion seasonal sentiments.

My card uses Seasonal Wreath Spring & Summer and I've colored the spring flower like a white daisy! This card is pretty simple, I colored the images, cut them out and popped them up over an embossed white piece. The little strip of wood grain is from the Craft Consortium Wood Textures paper pad which has a ton of great wood grain designs to chose from.

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing 2 cards I made with the newest release from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps. Sharon released 4 new sets Faith, Hope & Love and Wedding & Anniversary Wishes. You can find the entire release here.

My card uses the Wedding & Anniversary Wishes set. I made 2 quick and easy cards.

For the Thank You card, I stamped the bouquet on the vase image and colored them with Zig markers.  I used a bit of patterned paper from Kaisercraft Paisley Days pad. I added a few die cuts (from the Fishtail Sentiment Banners and Floral Cluster and Sprig dies) at the top corner topped with a small silk bow.

For the Wedding card, I stamped the bouquet on the stems image and colored them with copic markers. I centered it inside a scalloped oval frame (made with Spellbinders oval dies), added some scoring to the background panel and was done. This card was so simple to make and with a quick change in sentiment, could be for many occasions.

Stamp Simply Mother's Day celebration week

I went old school and made a circle card! I haven't made a circle card in ages and I'm not sure why, I really do love circle cards!  This one is pretty flat and will fit in an A2 invitation envelope without needing extra postage.

My card uses the lovely floral image from the Floral Cluster Summer Roses set and the sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiments SET 1. I die cut 2 thin black rings using my Spellbinders circle dies LG/SM. I think the black really makes the flower cluster POP! I used my Zig markers to color and I'm really enjoying how fast and easy they are to use.

I made a Christmas card for the hop adding to my stash because this year I am committed to send out cards (I've slacked over the last few years). My card uses the gorgeous poinsettia image and sentiment from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps Floral Cluster Winter Poinsettia set. I colored the image with my copics and then die cut it out with the A Cup of Java die set. I made the steam and handle black and then added 2 small strips of black along the bottom to tie everything together.
