60 WHAT?

Please scroll down for my Stamp Simply Sweet Smells of Summer blog hop, or click here.

Hi everyone!  OK, so my sister emails me a couple days ago and lets me know her office manager wants to buy a couple cards to keep on hand for general occasions.  I think, "oh wow, this is cool" and direct her to my Etsy store.  Several hours I get an email from the office manager and she asks for 60 CARDS!!  Holy smokes!  60?!?  They want 10 each of sympathy, congratulations, baby, thank you, encouragement and blank any occasion.

WHOA!  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the "cha-ching", cause there ARE a few stamp sets I have had my eye on for awhile, but I now have a WHOLE LOTTA cards to make in the next 2 weeks.  They all need to be done before my DH's family reunion at the end of June and then my kitchen remodel.  SOOOO, quick and cute cards are on the docket for the foreseeable future!  LOL!

Here are my first batch.  First up, I used the Embellish Magazine Labels Color challenge to make this Congrats card:

Next up are a trio of cards using PTI's Dawn's Color Couture (vol. 4-6) and Fillable Frame #4 die.  I just LOVE these, it makes making cutie cards a SNAP!  The layout of these was inspired from Heather Nichols' set of cards here.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Grateful Butterflies

Hi everyone!  I have a couple cards to share with you.  I had some time to stamp this weekend just for fun!  Don't cha just LOVE that!?!

This first card is for the Embellish Magazine challenge, to use Kraft, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush and stitching on your card.  OK, ummmm, I totally forgot to write down the STITCHING part of the challenge on my post-it note!  So, can we pretend that I sewed the pom-pom fringe on my card?  Please?  The sentiment is from Verve's amazing Thankful Hearts set.

I used my SU butterfly dies and embossing folders for this one, I also used my new SU border punch.  The beautiful rose flower is from Zva Creative as are all the pink pearls.  I found the pom-pom fringe at Craft Warehouse and it comes in LOTS of colors!  I had to buy 5 -2 shades of pink, white and 2 shades of yellow, fun fun!!

This next card uses Ippity's Where You Should Be set.  I love this stamp, can you believe this is the first time I used it?  This one is REALLY CAS.  A small piece of Bella Blvd paper ("Nana's Apron" piece), kiwi kiss border punch, some primas and rhinestones.  Easy peasy!

Some of you may have noticed I didn't post a DT card for this week's H{ippity} Hop.  I am sad to announce that I had to step down from the team.  It was a difficult decision for me as you all know my love for Unity/Ippity stamps and the girls on the team.  But I had a bit too much on my plate and my family time was suffering.  Sometimes these decisions must be made.

Never fear!  You will see PLENTY of Unity/Ippity creations from me and you can still buy Ippity Stamps from me!  AND I just re-ordered Where You Should Be, so my PayPal buttons are back up and running!!  There is one day of my SALE left, so check it out.

Speaking of SALES, Rachel is offering a couple of discounts at her store.   Now thru Wed: 15% off with Code STPAT and now thru the 10th: 25% off Bella Blvd and Imaginisce no code needed.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Embellish owl challenge

Hi everyone! Well, I drug myself off the couch from this nasty head cold long enough to make this quick and easy owl card for Embellish Magazine's challenge.

This one is pretty straight forward. The owl is from the long retired SU rub-on set, Love and Happiness. The cute little dotted bottom part and sentiment is from Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds.

Some of my favorite silver pearls are on the owl and green strip of paper. I added Pea Green Kaiser rhinestones to his eyes and wrapped some silver cord under the owl and die cut leaves.

OK, I made the deadline with a couple hours to spare! LOL! Back to the couch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Card Deets:
Stamps - bountiful backgrounds
paper - chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, cameo coral
ink - cameo coral, chocolate chip
Accessories - silver cord, silver pearls, rhinestones, circle nesties, Tiny leaves sizzlets die (SU!), rub-ons (SU!)

Cute little snowman

Hi everyone, this is a short post as it is late and I want to start watching Flash Forward being recorded right now!!! That is my favorite new show!!

But first, I have a cutie little snowman card to share with you. Embellish Magazine's current challenge is to make a circle card using the colors Bashful blue, Certainly celery, white and Chocolate chip. My first thought was to make a baby boy card, but my mojo wasn't going in that direction.

So, I switched gears and brought out my beloved Snow Wonderful set. I stamped the snowman with chocolate chip ink and pieced his scarf and hat band with celery cardstock. The left side of the card was made using the backgrounder stamp in bashful blue ink. This is pretty straight forward, actually pretty easy to make. The trickiest part is making sure to run your largest scalloped nestie so the bottom 2 scallops allow your card to stand straight.

Thanks for the challenge Ashley! I love how this turned out and I rarely make circle cards!

Stay tuned, I have my Friends with Flair post coming up!!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Snow Wonderful
Paper - White, chocolate chip, certainly celery
Ink - Bashful blue, chocolate chip
Accessories - blue striped ribbon (May Arts), silver cord, pea green rhinestones, stickles, Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder, circle nesties
