Moxie Fab speech bubble challenge

Hi everyone! Cath over on Moxie Fab World has a couple fun challenges going on right now.  I played along with the Speech Bubble challenge.

My card uses the cutie set from Technique Tuesday called Chit Chat and some new Fancy Pants papers, Trendsetter.  The bow is made from the new Faux Canvas ribbons -love these, they are similar to seam binding ribbon, but thicker.
I love the speech bubble shapes in this set.  The hearts are my favorite.  I used a light green copic marker to highlight each heart.  I love the fresh colors in this Fancy Pants collection, so you will probably be seeing more cards using these papers.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Heart talk bubble

Hi everyone!  I took some time today to make a card that was just for fun.  Love it when that happens.  I have had some brand new Technique Tuesday stamps forEVAH that haven't seen any ink (gasp).  I decided to ink up the stamp set Chit Chat for this card.  I looooove the heart talk bubble!!
The paper is from the Simple Stories Harvest lane paper pad.  I am new to Simple Stories and really love the colors and patterns in this pad.  I also like that the pages are not double sided, cause it always happens that my 2 favorite patterns are opposite each other!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!  Here is a close up picture.

Bold Thanks card for a fun blog hop

Hi everyone!  As I was scrolling through my Google Reader tonight, I say my BFF Charlene, blogged about a fun blog hop and I just had to play along!   As you know, getting published is a long road that is FULL of rejection.  The last Paper Crafts Go-To Sketches call had over 2750 entries!  ZOWIE -that's alot of fabulous cards they had to chose from.  So, with only 288 cards actually making the issue, Amber has started a blog hop for anyone who wants to share a card or two that didn't make the cut!  Fun, huh?!?

I am lucky to have 1 card selected for the issue, but thought I would join the hop and show a card I made for sketch #11 that was not chosen.  I used a sentiment from Technique Tuesday's Thanks For Everything set, and some more of the washi Decorative Tape by American Crafts.  Crazy fun stuff!
You can find a link to all the sketches here.  Lots of inspiration in this list!!  I can't wait to see the issue.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I will leave you with a close up picture.
P.S.  I didn't hear from Cassandra, who was the winner of my blog candy.  So, I chose another commenter!

I can't believe I forgot to add those to my card!  lol!

My card uses Technique Tuesday's cutie set, Long Stemmed Sentiments.  The flower blooms and vase are stamped and cut out.  The sentiment is from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages.   I just love the (new to me) Labels 16 and I thought it's shape was the perfect for this card.  The papers are from Graphic 45, their new Once Upon a Springtime collection (you can get these both at the Stamp Simply Ribbon store).  I have to say, G45 isn't always my style, but there are lots of fabulous prints in this 8x8 pad -I really like it!!

Technique Tuesday October Guest Designer

Hi everyone!  I have some fun news- I am a Guest Designer for Technique Tuesday this month!  I am having so much fun playing around with their amazing stamps!!!

You may or may not know that I have been using their stamps for a LOOOOONG time.  Here is a link to a card I made in March 2007 and here is a link to another one I made shortly thereafter.  Yeesh, isn't it SCARY to see the cards we FIRST make?  These were made when I was brand new at stamping!

Anyway, I have a couple projects to share today.  First up is a set of CAS thank you cards made from the Thanks for Everything set which uses square note cards I bought on clearance at Craft Warehouse.  Set of 8 WITH envelopes for 50 cents -what a deal!!  Here is what they looked like before, what I love about these note cards is the various colored polka dots -lots options to dress them up!
Here is one that I dressed up with some 1.50" pink silk ribbon, a button and a strip of cardstock.  I colored in the sentiment with copic markers.
This one uses the solid image stamped in Soft Suede.  I colored the border with a green Copic marker and added some of the little punched flowers I am so fond of.
The last one uses some white wrinkled ribbon, another button, some cardstock and the large solid Thanks sentiment.  Aren't these fun?!?
Next up is a quick baby card using the set, Sweet Baby by Ali Edwards.  This card uses a sentiment and fun pattern papers from October Afternoon's Ducks in a Row.  The border was made from the punch, Garden Flower Chain.  Yep, I used those little flowers again.  What can I say?  THEY ARE CUTE!

Lastly, I have a Christmas card using the AMAZING Good Cheer set by Ali Edwards.  LOVE the sentiments in this set.  It looks good on a tag, don't cha think?!?  The pattern paper is MME, I Believe.
That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stay tuned next week for the TT DT challenge -I get to play along!  Have a great day.

World Card Making Day

Hi everyone and HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!

How fun is this day?  My sister looked at me like I had 10 heads when I asked her to watch the boys so I could run to Craft Warehouse for WCMD!  Hahaha!  Believe me, nobody outside our crafty little world knows this day exists!  Oh and if you are new to my blog and taking the Paper Crafts Blog Tour -welcome, welcome, welcome!

I have a special collection of circle cards to share today.  I decided to make cards to honor 4 of my favorite stamping companies.  After all, I could NOT make cards and be the stamper I am today without these amazing stamps to work with.

First up, VERVE STAMPS.  Sigh, you all know my long standing love for Verve.  Julee has the most amazing designs and I plan to be on her design team until she pries her stamps from my cold dead hands -LOL!  My card uses the flower image from Dream Big and the sentiment is from Happy Hello.  Pattern is Cosmo Cricket, Pixie-Licious.

Next we have IPPITY STAMPS.  I love love love the fun whimsical feel to Ippity/Unity designs.  Soooo much fun to work with.  I am proud to be an Ippity Chick.  This card uses the set, Just Wanted to Say from their very first release.  To this day, it's one of my go-to Ippity sets!  The pattern paper is PTI's Dotty Biscotti.

Third, we have FLOURISHES.  Again, I have been a huge Flourishes fan dating back to my early SCS days.  LOVE their designs, always have!  This Halloween card uses the new, Witching you a Happy Halloween set.

Last, but not least TECHNIQUE TUESDAY.  Back in 2007, my mom bought me very first Tech Tuesday sets -Loves me Still and Master Pieces of Paisley, now retired, and I have been a fan ever since!  This card uses the cutie patootie set, Wise Guys.  The pattern paper is Basic Grey, Pyrus.

Thank you so much for stopping by and HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!!

Hi everyone!  I have a couple challenge cards to share tonight.  Yes, more circle cards -WHAT!  LOL!  I can't help it, I am on a roll and with all my Spellbinder dies out it makes it easier for me!

First up, a double challenge card.  I haven't played along with Cath's Tuesday Trigger in forEVAH, so I made some time tonight JUST before the deadline of tomorrow -LOL!  This card is also for Technique Tuesday's challenge (TTSCS4) to use a flower image on your card.  The little stems image are from the set, Long Stemmed Sentiments. I thought they would be perfect for that amazing lipstick image!! The paper is from the new Cosmo Cricket, Winter Mittens paper (LOVE) and some Baker's Twine and Taylor's Twinkles finish the look.

Next I had a chance to play along this week's SCS sketch challenge.  Only I turned it into a circle card!  heehee!  I used Verve's new set, Carpe Cupcake. I couldn't figure out how to put a sentiment on this one. hummm... I pieced the cupcake bottom with the adorable pattern paper from October Afternoon, Ducks in a Row. Again, I used the tiny rhinestones from Taylor's Twinkles to the cupcake "sprinkles". Both the pattern paper and the bright and lovely twill ribbon are from the Stamp Simply Ribbon store.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

OOPS

Hi everyone!  Oh MAN, a big OOPS on my part!  I totally forgot about making my Housewarming cards for my Real Estate agent!  I have been so busy with my garage this totally slipped my mind. UGH!

So, I emailed him and asked if I could send him 10 now and 10 when I finish them.  I hate that he has had to wait this long!  I made these 2 really quickly yesterday.  Have I mentioned how much I love CAS cards?  LOL!  First 10 in the mail tomorrow.  :-)

Like my other cards, these 2 use Ippity Stamp sets - the first one uses the house from Devoted and Tiny Alpha stickers from Cosmo Cricket.
This one uses the little house from House a Home
I liked the last card so much, I used the same layout for my Technique Tuesday challenge (TTSCS4) card over on SCS!!  The challenge is to make a card using a stamp set with flowers.  Easy peasy!  I used the cutie set, Spiro Garden. The sentiment is from Thanks for Everything.  The pattern paper is OA's Ducks in a Row.  Hummm... I am rethinking die cutting the rectangle on a diagonal as I keep thinking my panels are CROOKED! LOL! I assure you they are straight!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Card Deets (housewarming):
Stamps - House a Home, Devoted
Ink - memento rich cocoa

House is a Home to the rescue

Hi everyone!  I have a couple challenge cards to share today.  First up, my real estate agent has asked me to make 20 Welcome Home cards for him!  I don't do many custom orders, but he is such a great agent AND Ippity just released the set, House is a Home - it seemed destined - how could I say no??  So be prepared to see lots of Welcome Home cards -LOL!

This cutie card not only uses Ippity's  House is a Home set, but also uses the dotted background stamp from the Love in Return set.  I stamped the houses, colored them with copic markers, and cut them out.  The strip of pattern paper is from Bella Blvd.  I love the colors of their lines.  The tone is earthy and no so girlie, perfect for Home cards.

I used today's Taylored Expressions sketch #124 for my layout.  Perfect sketch for little houses, huh?!?  The small brown bling is from the Round Wheel by Zva Creative and the brown twill ribbon is from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Next up is my card from last weekend for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  This week we are celebrating vdutchr. I cased this cute card here. I kept the size of the card, layout and use of circles. But I changed up almost everything else.

This is also for the last Technique Tuesday challenge, TTSC1, to use TT stamps. I used the Thanks for Everything and Wise Guys sets. I also used some of the Technique Tiles -the FUNdamental Rings. LOVE these!  This was also for the Embellish Magazine challenge, to use the colors: pink, brown and green AND use a bird of some kind.  But, I didn't complete it in time to enter it!  OOPS!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Kitchen remodel: day 23

Hi everyone!  Welllllll, while I am anxiously waiting for my counter top guy to come (yeah, he's just a little late), I made a couple of quick Thank You cards for the new Technique Tuesday challenge on SCS.

Yep, TT is now a Member Company!  How wonderful!!  AND, they are headquartered right HERE in Portland -I love to support local business!!

My cards are pretty easy and straight forward.  I am so nervous (I even had a nightmare he brought the WRONG counter top), that I wanted to use BRIGHT papers to cheer me up.  Bright fun colors just make me happy.  The challenge was to use any TT stamp.  Pretty easy.  I used the very versitile set, Thanks for Everything. I was totally enabled by my BFF, Charlene.  Thanks girl, I SO love this set!!

The bright paper is Delovely from Cosmo Cricket.

Here is card #2, feel like some BRIGHT PINK?!?  LOL!

My first card was inspired by Rachel's cupcake challenge, CIC69!

P.S.  OMGosh!  The installers are HERE!!!  Pictures tomorrow!!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Thanks for Everything
Ink - brown and black
Paper - white, kraft, delovely PP (Cosmo)
Accessories - prima flowers, burlap string, green button
