Lisa Horton Wildflowers collection, 2 card designs

Hi crafty friends! It's the May collections release day over at Spellbinders and I have 2 pretty cards to share using the new Lisa Horton Wildflowers collection! You all know my love for flower dies, so I was so excited to work with this collection. 💖
Check out my cards and scroll down for a list of supplies.
To start my cards, I chose a spring piece of pattern paper from the SBC Sunkissed A2 paper pad. I chose the colors of my wildflowers based on the coraly-pink colors in the paper.
My first card features the Layered Wildflowers die set and sentiment from Sending Smiles stamp and die set. My second card features the Layering Gladiolus and the Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals die sets. There are some really fabulous die sets in this collection, be sure to check them out!!

Stay tuned for more inspiration from the May collections by Spellbinders!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Pretty Pink Posh May release, Just a Note and Hugs cards

Hi crafty friends! I have 2 more cards to share today from the Pretty Pink Posh May release!! AND I'm participating in Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh INSTAGRAM HOP!
💖Be sure to head over to my IG and enter to win 💖
Scroll down for a complete list of supplies
Before I started my cards with this release, I chose color inspiration from my Spellbinders Color Deck. I was drawn to the purples and blues with pops of yellow of this photo and thought they were perfect for all my cards for this release.
I die cut my teacup from the Teacup Shaker die set with white cardstock and stamped the sentiment using navy blue ink. For the background, I used Scallops Pierced Plate with a light gray cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. I love how the white from the card base shows through the pierced scallops giving it a soft look.
My simple Hugs card uses the Floral Wreath Builder die set and the Notched Squares die set. I kept it mostly clean with a few flowers and the Hugs sentiment.

To create depth for all my flowers, I lightly inked the flowers from the centers outward. I wanted some sparkle, so I die cut the flower centers from glitter cardstock and inked them with yellow ink. This adds sparkle to the card without adding bulky gems, making it easier to mail. I love how both of these turned out!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Flower Mini 3D Wax Seal Thinking of You Card

Hi crafty friends! I have a fun card to share today. Even though I no longer receive the Spellbinders Wax Seal of the Month club, I still really do love working with wax seals! And this month Spellbinders came out with MINI 3D wax seals and they are stunning! 3D wax seals really do have amazing depth.
The Mini 3D Wax Seals collection has 5 designs and I used the Flower Mini 3D wax seal for my card. These wax seal stamps are 1/2" in diameter, which is half the size of a standard wax seal. You only need to melt 2 wax beads for this size.
I wanted to branch out with different colors on this card, so I went with a few shades of orange. I thought the flower design wax seal would go perfectly on a flower card, so I pulled out my beloved Be Bold Blooms die set and started die cutting! For the background, I used my much neglected Zig Zag Chevron card front die and inlaid a few strips of a light and dark orange cardstock.
I had a few sentiments left over from the Crafty Hugs Sentiments and Thinking of You fit perfectly. Lastly, I added few gold pearls accents which complimented the gold pen accents on my wax seal. I love how this turned out!

I also wanted to let you know that the Spellbinders Weekender 2025 Craft Kit & Virtual Retreat is available NOW!! It's a 2-day crafty getaway on May 30-31st. It has a value of over $500 for the cost of $149, which is a better value than 2024.

Spellbinders Yana's Daisies Collection, Day 2 Inspiration

Hi crafty friends! This is Day 2 of my inspiration of Yana Smakula's brand new collection with Spellbinders called Yana's Daisies. Today, my card focuses on the Yana's Daisies die set.
My sister's favorite color is purple and this card is for her, so I wanted this to be a sparkly purple dream 💜I die cut Yana's Daisies with 3 shades of purple and pieced them into the frame. I used vellum as the shadow piece, so I would have something to glue the daisy pieces into that didn't detract from the card overall.
I put the daisies on top of the gorgeous  Molded Frame 3D embossing folder, Yana said she was inspired by her cabinet doors for this design. I really like it, you can trim it from both the outside and inside and end up with very different and amazing results!
Can you see the sparkle and shine in this photo? I used 3 specialty papers from Box 1 by Your Paper Insider. These specialty subscription boxes have at least 20 sheets and are $29.95 w/ free shipping.
I used these on my card:
Cosmo Vanilla Pearl - Embossed background
Touche Black Smooth - Daisy centers and sentiment (this has a soft velvet feel)
Holographic Confetti Dots White - Daisy outline

You can check out the details of the subscription boxes here.

Spellbinders DIY Color Deck System, Day 3 Inspiration

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to Day 3 of inspiration for the new DIY Color Deck system from Spellbinders. I have 2 more inspiration posts, you can find DAY 1 HERE and DAY 2 HERE.
Here is today's inspiration! Scroll down for supplies used.
I was drawn to the fun playful fish with pops of blue and oranges. The colors I chose were Indigo, Beeswax, Sicily, Malibu and Fog. And for my florals, I used another favorite die set, Vivid Blooms.
The DIY Color Deck Builder Bundle contains the DIY Color Deck, 1" square punch and the 8.5x11.5" Full ColorWheel cardstock assortment. You can also purchase each of these on their own. Here's another look at the system.
 Final thoughts:
After playing with the DIY Color Deck, I really do like it and I will definitely use the cards when I want some color inspiration. I DO own the Color Cubes and love them as well. For me, the main difference is with the Color Deck, I pick the cardstock swatches from MY OWN stash. Whereas sometimes with the Color Cube, I don't have the EXACT match to the colors shown on the card and having "matchitis" (the compulsion to have the exact match) I then move on to a different card.
Let me know your thoughts! What do you think of the Color Deck?

Spellbinders NEW LAUNCH DIY Color Deck, Day 1 Inspiration

Hi crafty friends! Spellbinders has launched a fun new color inspiration system called the DIY Color Deck. From the website: Make color your own with the new DIY Color Deck! Designed to inspire creativity, each of the 52 cards in the DIY Color Deck includes an image of a stunning art piece with 5 blank spaces for swatching custom color combinations. The other side of the cards feature fun facts, creative prompts and bonus education about color theory.

I enjoyed working with these cards WAY MORE than I expected. I had a lot of fun choosing cards to work with and picking out the colors for my swatches. Most of the photos have more than 5 colors to work with, giving them a lot of options. Here is today's inspiration! Scroll down for supplies used.
I was drawn to the crisp colors in this fruit bowl image. And I love how the photo prompted a color combination I would have never picked on my own. The colors I chose were Tuscan, Teal Topaz, Poppy, Fern and Raven.
The DIY Color Deck Builder Bundle is the DIY Color Deck, 1" square punch and the 8.5x11.5" Full Colorwheel cardstock assortment. You can also purchase each of these on their own. Here's a look at the system.
So what do you think? Do you like this concept? I think there is something to be said for having the actual photo in hand as a reference when choosing colors. Over the next few days I'll be sharing more inspiration so stay tuned!

More Vivid Expressions, Hello Card and Tag

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm sharing another card and matching tag from the Vivid Expressions collection by Spellbinders 💙💜
***And for all you Winnie the Pooh fans, Spellbinders launched the Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection! It's fabulous and stay tuned for some inspiration using it soon!
Check out what I made and scroll down for complete product list.
VIVID BLOOMS DIES AND SWEEPING SCRIPTS SENTIMENTS PRESS PLATES

My card and tag use the Vivid Blooms die set and the Sweeping Script Sentiments press plates.
Both started with pressing the sentiments, Hello and You, in to white cardstock with Stone Blue ink. Because I wanted the sentiments offset at the bottom I pressed cardstock larger than needed so I could trim them at the right angle. I find this easier than trying to place the word on the plate backwards, kwim?
I added the flowers, ink splatter and gems around the sentiment. I love how this set turned out!

VIVID BLOOMS AND VIVID SCRIPTS SENTIMENTS DIE SETS

My card uses the Vivid Blooms, Vivid Scripts Sentiments and the Eyelet Scallop Border die sets from this collection as well as the Essential Arches die set.
For the background behind my Arch opening, I die cut the Eyelet Scallop Border 4 times and covered my card base. I thought they made a gorgeous back drop for these florals 💖 I love the way this turned out!

Pinkfresh Garden Party birthday card

Hi crafty friends! I have a fun birthday card to share today. I got the amazing Garden Party die set and coordinating stencil set a while ago and finally had the chance to use it! Check out what I made and scroll down for a list of supplies used.
You know I love me a great floral die set and Pinkfresh has a TON! My wallet doesn't always keep up with my eyeballs, but I fell in love with Garden Party as soon as I saw it! 💙💜
I also played along with the Color Hues Color challenge which is to use tones of BLUE and PURPLE. Say no more! I love these colors and was happy to play along. Side note, this challenge is their 100th challenge and there is a pretty awesome prize offered up to the winner!
I used 2 shades of each color cardstock and did some inking blending to get some dimension. And for a bit of sparkle I inked my Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock with Seaside ink and added some Lilac Clear Drops. I love how this turned out!

Honey Bee Stamps Mini Holiday Florals Poinsettia card and tag

Hi crafty friends! My obsession with poinsettia dies continues! Today's card and tag duo uses some pretties from Honey Bee Stamps. If you're new here, you can check out a few other poinsettia cards posted HERE and HERE.
The GORGEOUS poinsettias are from the Mini Holiday Florals die set. I die cut them from a very light pink cardstock (retired Pink Pirouette from SU!) and inked them with 2 shades of darker pink distress oxide ink for dimension and used some Snowtek on the petals. The centers are inked with yellow ink and then I added some yellow Glitter Brush marker for a pop of sparkle.
The white splatter is made super easy with the White Lustre Brush by Scrapbookcom 😍

This adorable tag uses an extra poinsettia and greenery placed on a tag die cut from the Terrific Tags die set. Fun fact, I bought this die set over a year ago and finally remembered to bring it out to use 😂
This cute tag is going to my growing stash! I put handmade tags on all of my Christmas packages. I even grab my favorites from the pile of wrapping papers headed for recycling to use again next year!
Please tell me I'm not the only one! LOL!
