Some gnomes and some Peace love and joy

Hi everyone! When I say life is getting in the way of crafting and blogging, I'm not kidding! LOL! With my boys being back at school in person full time I thought things would slow down, but nope. I'm busy as ever! So this post will be sort of a catch up on a trio of projects I made months ago and will give me the chance to share 2 cards I made yesterday!

First up are a few cards I made a few months ago using the Gina K Designs/Thermoweb collaboration Gnome for the Holidays AND the add on kit called Gnome for the Holidays: Festive Fall.

This Halloween gnome is rocking a sparkly hat and pants!

This little gnome with a sparkling pumpkin spiced latte!
Lastly is are 2 Christmas gnomes on a set of 3x3 cards. Perfect to tuck into a Christmas gift bag or box!

Next are 2 Christmas cards using the new Perfect Poinsettia stamp set by Gina K Designs. This set was part of the September kit and is now available to purchase on its own. I love it because it's a multi-step flower and it has great dimension without adding bulk making it perfect to mail! And this adds a few more poinsettia cards to my stash

Ink Colors: Bubblegum Pink, Pink Passion, Kraft and Christmas Pine (GKD) and Glam and Seafoam (Catherine Pooler)

This card is a mini slimline using the dies in the Gina K Master Layouts 7 die set. Not gonna lie, I am really loving the mini slimline card size!

That's it for today! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
Other supplies used on Shristmas cards:
Cover die used on Peace poinsettia card: Quilted card front die -Concord and 9th
Sentiments on the poinsettia cards: Sentiment sheets, Holiday Greetings -Gina K Designs

Poinsettia Christmas cards

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another group of Christmas cards.

I'm absolutely in love with Poinsettias on Christmas cards! There is a good chance all my cards will have poinsettias on them this year.

These all feature poinsettias from the die set Fresh Cut Florals series, this is Edition 4. For each layer size I used 3 die cuts, you can use 2 if you want to save on time and cardstock, but I loved the fuller look with 3. The backgrounds are made with the Plaid Card Front duo, card 1 uses the Thick die and card 2 uses the Thin die.

Card 1 features the MERRY word die from the Seasonal Sayings Die set and the word Christmas is embossed on black cardstock and is from the stamp set Joy by Stamp Simply.
I inlaid tiny gold bits on the background from Gold Mirror cardstock. Photos don't do this justice, the little pops of gold are amazing IRL.

Next we have card 2. This one uses two of the Plaid Thin dies slightly off set, trimmed and mounted to white cardstock. With the thin green plaid as part of the background, I opted for no branches under the poinsettia, but couldn't resist adding small bits to the sentiment panel. The sentiment is embossed on black and is from the set, Jesus from Stamp Simply.

I have a couple more cards in the works using a crisp gold and white palette, so stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Here are some close up pics.

Starting my Christmas cards!

Hi everyone! So last year I had Covid during Christmas and wasn't able to make or send out any Christmas cards. It made me so sad. So this year I'm starting early on my cards. Yes, I know some crafters make Christmas cards all year round, but for me September is EARLY!! Last year I bought a some Christmas die sets from a few companies and I'm excited to finally use them!

I make my cards in small batches. They must be flat for mailing, similar but not the same cause I get bored quickly - KWIM? Here are my first 4. I used Concord and 9th's Seasonal Sayings Die set for the Christmas sentiment and the Layering Poinsettia dies by Hero Arts.

The Merry sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, their clever Sentiment Strips Reverse Christmas. I love these for quick and easy parings with other sentiment die cuts or stamps! The thin gold and silver accent strip is some 1/8" washi tape I've had forever. I just love the extra sparkle it gives.
This beauty uses gold mirror cardstock, it's tricky to photograph but sure looks pretty IRL!! Here's a better pic.
On to the next batch! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
