Here for you and a winner!

Hi everyone!  I apologize for being late on posting a winner for my Paper Creations magazine giveaway.  Yesterday started spring break for the boys and it was our ONLY sunny day, so we took advantage of it!!

Thank you all for the lovely comments, Random.org helped me chose the winner, #10!

CONGRATS!!! How exciting for you. Anxious to read the articles.

Congrats Bev!  Send me your address info and I will get your package out to you right away.  You can find my email info in the right column.

I also have a cute card to share today.  JustRite just released the most darling Owl set called Owl Be There.  As soon as I saw it, it jumped right into my shopping cart, oh yes I did!

To make the ombre frame I adhered 3/4" strips of blue cardstock together and die cut and embossed the Label shape.  Because Spellbinders dies have such a nice deep cutting edge, it cuts through the double layers with no problem.  Next I die cut the circle into the center.  (I realized afterwards I could have cut them both at the same time.)
I also did an embossed frame around the card front, which is easier than it looks.  Below I've shown that you layer the die with the cut side facing the cardstock and place them onto the rubber embossing mat and cover with the Base Plate.
Remember to place the cut side facing into the embossing mat, and you will emboss the impression into the cardstock every time!  I taped the die into place with washi tape to make sure it stayed in place.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
