Gina K September release inspiration blog hop: Day 2

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K Designs September Release Inspiration Blog hop!  Today we are spotlighting the sets, Home Is illustrated by Tami Mayberry and Celebrate the Season illustrated by Theresa Momber. 

First up is a card using the tree image from Home Is.  Aren't these tree leaves the cutest??  They can also be clouds - how clever that Tami is!!  I just stamped them in light blue ink.  The fun paper is from JilliBean Soup, the Dutch Mustard pad.
Next, is my card using Celebrate the Season.  SURPRISE!  I think most everyone today went with a Christmas theme card, but given my summer has barely started here in Portland, Oregon, I decided to go a different way.  I coordinated this card with this one from the June release, making a birthday card and using the Dots and Stripes papers from Echo Park.  The butterflies are just stunning and don't need any coloring at all if you are not inclined.

    It is hard for me to see potential in some stamp sets when I first see them, kind of like a dress on a hanger in the store. When I see all these beautiful cards I see the real beauty waiting and ready to be done

    I love both cars but my favorite of the two is the tree. I don't know if I would have the right color sence of attaching different patterns together.

    These are really pretty Michelle! I like the green & blue color combination in your trees card and something about those rhinestones and their placement is simply perfect! I really like the layout of your butterfly card as well and the striped patterned paper in different colors!

    Your cheerful trees make are sweet card, makes me think of summer. Very cute butterfly card and love the way you used the stripe papers - I would never have thought to change the stripes in the background, makes it interesting.
