Gina K Designs Release Inspiration hop: Day 3

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 3 of the Gina K Designs Release Inspiration hop!

Today we are showcasing the fabulous sets, Perfect Pennants, Cute as a Bug and Lovely Labels 3.  WOW!  Seriously, you are going to love all 3 of these sets!!  Two of them are designed to coordinate with Spellbinder dies -which will be arriving to Gina's store soon! 

First up, is Perfect Pennants designed by Tami Mayberry.  This set is designed to coordinate with Spellbinder Pennant Dies.  Banners are so hot right now and this set is FABULOUS!!  I made this for Bill's birthday which was on Sunday.  I had fun playing around with stamping out the pennant styles in different colors and settled for 4 colors and 4 designs.  Cute, huh?

My next card uses the adorable set, Cute as a Bug designed by Rupa Shevde.  This little bee is the cutest and I just had to bust out my old favie Cosmo Early Bird papers!  I tried to color the bee with my copic markers, but was having trouble with the tiny stripes bleeding together.  So, I used my trusty ole color pencils and gamsol.  Man, I haven't colored that way in FOREVER!  After a couple "practice bees" it turned out great!! 

My last card uses Lovely Labels 3 which is designed by Nina Brackett.  This amazing set is designed to coordinate with the Spellbinder Labels 18, 20 and 21.  I don't have any of these Label sets (yet), so I hand cut out my shape -easy peasy!  I really had fun with this one.  I stamped the label in Vintage Photo Distress ink and the sentiment in Perfect Plum ink.  All the papers and accents on this card are K&Company from the Flora & Fauna collection.

Spellbinder Thank you blog hop

My first card uses the little chickies image from the Basket Blessings set.  Aren't they the cutest?!?  And the detailing in the eggs is drawn in, so they are super easy to color.

Here is a picture of all the Spellbinders die cuts I used on the card.  See how they ALL fit on the Cutting Plate?  This is what I LOVE about the Grand Calibur.  The Plate is 8.5x11 and it is big enough to do all the card die cuts in one swipe!! 

My next card uses the set, Bug Me Anytime.  I love this cutie little set!  Lots of fun happy sentiments and images -perfect for spring.  I inked the flower puff in brown and then took a pink ink to the edges.

Quick and easy Christmas cards

Hi everyone!  I have a couple quick and easy cards to share.  I made these using the fabulous K&Company Glad Tidings Grand Adhesion stickers and the Glad Tidings Cardmaking Pad!  All you need to make these are some 1/4" silk ribbon, corner rounder and a 1 1/2" circle punch, rhinestones and some sentiments.  I used various sentiments from Verve Stamps (can't go wrong with Julee's fonts!).

I liked the cute layout so much I made another card with some MME papers and another Verve sentiment from the new Friendly Phrases set.

Hippity Hop Monday

Hi everyone!  It's Monday and I had a chance to play along with the H{ippity} Hop!!  It's been a busy month with Verve having 2 releases -the Fall collection just released and Christmas is in a couple weeks.  But, I took some time to play with one of my old Ippity Stamp sets, Life's Little Moments.  This set was from the first release and although geared towards scrapbooking, has lots of images that are perfect for cards!

My card uses Jen's Sketch for you To Try and some paper and goodies from K&Company, the Olivia Rose collection!  This collection has a totally fun and whimsical feeling to it and Ippity was a perfect match!  AND...see that strip of daisy flowers?  Yep -my new toy!  A jumbo border punch called Garden Flower Chain from EK Success.  This is really cool, I have never had a punch that punched both sides before and I love it!!
