Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another Camellia card which is one of the new gorgeous flower dies from The Victorian Garden collection
designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn for Spellbinders. This time I made the flower a bit flatter by doing less forming on the petals and eliminating the smallest set of petals. Check out what I made.
This is a favorite go-to card layout of mine. I like it because the main image is the star of the card, but the patterned papers in the background are simple strips that add colors and texture to the card. The spring papers I used are from the Echo Park My Favorite Easter paper pack, I even used one of the prints as the top layer for my flowers.
The sentiment is from Inside Card Glimmer sentiments foiled in Silver. I have the camellia flower sitting on a Scalloped Circle with a ring of the blue patterned paper adhered on top. Both of these were made from layering some old school Spellbinders dies, the Scalloped Circles and Standard Circles. I have had these die sets for over 10 years, quite literally my first die set purchase. Timeless!
For the finishing touches, I added a white button to the flower center as well as a few silver pearls.
Supplies used on this card:
White button and twine from stash
