Hi everyone! Have you seen the new Stampendous Hope of Spring Quick Card Backgrounds? I new to them, but they are kinda cool. They are a nice weight cardstock color sheets of beautiful spring florals with a combination of birds, butterflies or dragonflies and a selection of sentiments. Just trim and pop them on a card base and with little effort you get a wonderful card. Check out what I made.
My square card features one of the images with a cute little bird. I trimmed the down panel and matted it behind white cardstock that had a circle die cut from it and then embossed with the Orange Peel Quilt 3D folder. That was then matted to a chocolate brown piece of cardstock. I added an accent flower and a few little branches from the Be Bold Blooms die set. The square card is made with the Lacey Squares die set. All and all a super easy and pretty card.
Next up is a beautiful floral and dragonfly image colored in blues and purples. I went super simple here and matted it to blue and then white panels die cut with the Rectangle Postage Edge die set. I tied some twine around the sentiment panel, added stickles and it was good to go. This was the easiest of the 3 cards.
And my last card is a mini slimline using the French Braid and Hexagon Panels die set. I fussy cut out one of the pink floral images and placed it in the lower right corner. I marked where I wanted it trimmed and placed the part I trimmed off up in the upper left corner. I sponged some light blue ink on a few of the insert pieces and randomly glued them and a few plain white ones in to the outline.
If you haven't already, you can check out the entire Stampendous Spring collection it has several stamp sets, the quick card backgrounds and some watercolor panels. Stay tuned, I will have a couple cards using one of the stamp sets coming in the next few days.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
