Paper Crafts magazine -swan song blog hop

Hi everyone!  Some of you may have heard that the paper crafters community lost yet another magazine.  Sadly Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine (formerly Paper Crafts) will be shutting their doors after the February 2015 issue.  Last year they tried to reorganize, merge with Creating Keepsakes magazine and go digital only, but these changes only kept them going for another year.  This marks the 3rd major card making publication shutting down in the last year.

Some of us designers and paper crafters thought it would be fitting to have a "swan song" blog hop thanking all the editors and staff of this amazing magazine and let them know how much we love them and they will be missed.
Quite simply and with all my heart, I wish them All the Best.
I've been seeing the Polaroid-type frames on cards all over the blog-a-sphere and wanted to give it a try.  I don't have a die for one, but it was easy enough to make by layering a square die inside a rectangle die.
And now a short trip down memory lane:
My very first publication was with Paper Crafts and I'll never forget how excited I was to get that acceptance email from Cath Edvalson (I STILL have it!).  Here is a old picture of my card and the magazine from the June 2009 issue.
My how my style has changed since that first card!! I was lucky enough and honored to have 25 cards/projects published since then.  I thought it would be fun to show a couple of my favorites.
This card appeared in the 2013 Supply Savvy for Paper Crafters issue
This treat bag appeared in the 2011 Holiday Cards and More, Vol 6 issue
This card appeared in the 2013 Die Cutting for Paper Crafters issue
OK back to the hop.  This is a HUGE blog hop (like over 200 participants large) and if you're following the hop order, you should have come here from Kara Vrabel.

***I am number 62 on the blog hop list and your next stop is to the very talented Amanda Coleman!***
(You may want to go back to the beginning as you’ve missed many, many tributes)

Thank you for stopping by have a great day and enjoy the hop!  Here is a close up picture.

  7. It's so sad all of the paper crafts etc magazines are going away. I still have my Paper Crafts magazines going way back to like 2005 or something. Never was lucky to have anything published myself, but I still enjoyed all the inspiration everyone else gave me! Thank you for sharing in this blog hop Michelle!
