Hi everyone!! Welcome to the Journey of the Heart StampTV Kit
Inspiration Blog Hop where we hope to inspire you with
many beautiful ideas with the Stamp TV kit! This kit is retired. You can find all the current stamp sets for Gina K Designs here.
My first card uses the adorable birdie and balloons for a colorful congratulations card. I colored everything with copic markers and used coordinating sequins as accents. This card measures 4"x4 1/2".
Next up is a couple of 3x3 sympathy note cards. I stamped the flowers with GKD Color Companions Ivory pigment ink. With the note card on the left, I took a wipe and removed the ink from the centers and lightly colored them in with yellow marker. These note cards are simple and understated with only rhinestones and twine for embellishments. Sympathy cards are hard to make, sometimes I think less is more.
The last card didn't turn out like I wanted at all, but I thought I would post it anyway. From time to time we all have "card fails". Am I right? -lol!!!!!
I wanted this get well card to be cheery and used spring colors and glitter. The flowers are stamped with GKD Color Companions Sweet Corn and the sentiment in Charcoal Brown.

I'm not sure where I went wrong, but here it is...
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteThe white on craft is so elegant.
ReplyDeleteSuper cards. I really like the look of the white ink on the Kraft cardstock. I like the last card. It's bright and cheery - nothing wrong that I can see. Sometimes the ones that don't turn out as you'd envisioned them are the best.

Your cards are beautiful, especially the one you think was a fail! <3 So pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove your daisy cards VERY pretty
ReplyDeleteYou call that last card a 'card fail'? I call it trendy and beautiful! Love all the cards you made...and it looks like we had the same thought with the bird and balloons!! xo
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all of your examples. I espically like white on kraft paper and I think that you used it so well here in a sympathy card.
ReplyDeleteThe sympathy cards are so nice. I think you're right - sometimes less is more! Sometimes when a card doesn't look like we imagined it in our head we think it's a fail, but for somebody who didn't see inside your head it looks just fine!
ReplyDeleteAdorable colors and sequins on the birdie card and your other cards are simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your cards. Even though you didn't really like one, it looks nice. Someone will still love it.

ReplyDeleteAll three cards are just stunning. I love white on kraft, and the colors on the first card are beautiful. Great inspiration here - thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI think you might like the third card better if you put the little flower in front of the first. Try that and see. Otherwise, I think your cards are great! The second one really stood out to me. Those flowers are gorgeous on Kraft with Ivory ink. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like all three cards, don't know where you "missed" on the third card, and I'm glad you posted it. The sympathy cards are perfect -white on kraft looks so good together. Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteLove the cards. Especially like the flower cards.
ReplyDeleteThe white on kraft cards are so beautiful! Also love the embossed front with the colorful chick and balloons inside the oval cutout. I like the floral card, but wonder if a background of pastel pink or aqua put on the kraft base would help. It's a lovely design, and love the colors you chose. We all have cards that don't turn out the way we wanted, so thanks for sharing yours, anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe birdie card is so cute! The Sympathy cards are just lovely, and I think the last card looks fine. But I know what you mean by 'failures'. I pass them off to my son to color on!!! I don't think anything you make could fail!!
