May Arts silk ribbon color charts

Hi everyone! May Arts Silk Ribbon has been a long time favorite of mine and one of the biggest sellers at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.   We know many of you love using silk ribbon as well, and to make color selection easier and to take the guess-work out of it, I have prepared a color chart.  This chart compares all the May Arts Silk Ribbon colors to both Stampin’ Up and A|Muse Studios cardstock colors.

Here are the charts:

I hope you find these charts useful.  I had a lot fun making them and they will be the first of many ribbon type color charts.  Let me know if you have a particular ribbon type you would like to see on a color comparison chart and I'll add it to the to-do list.

So in celebration of our Silk Ribbon Color Charts, the design team have some projects to show you today and each have some fabulous SILK RIBBON BLOG CANDY!  Sharon now offers the Silk Ribbon in Sampler Packs, and each designer has one Silk Ribbon Sampler to give away.  All you have to do is comment on their blog to be eligible to win.  Each designer will pick their winner Wednesday, August 22nd at 9 p.m EST.  All the winners will be announced on Sharon's Blog and my winner will also be announced here, later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you have won.   Good luck!!!

I will be offering the Pastels Sampler for my blog candy.  This Sampler pack contains 3 yards each of the Pink, Light Blue, Lavender, Celery and Yellow ribbons.  Gorgeous stuff!
Check out all the girls in today's hop:

I am still (trying to) take a break from stamping this month, so I didn't make a new card today.  But here are a couple of 3x3 note cards I made a couple years ago using the 1.5" Ivory silk ribbon and the oldie but goodie Lilac Avenue pad from Kaisercraft (which is on sale now!).
A little tip, don't be afraid to use the wide silk ribbon on a small card, it folds and layers beautifully and can really make a statement!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!!

  13. What fabulous choices for fall!! And the color charts are a big help. I have to admit that I have bought some silk ribbon while not really sure of the color; just knowing that I’d find a way to match it up with SOMETHING no matter what!! None has ever gone to waste!! That first card REALLY showcases the drape of this fabulous silk ribbon.

  35. WhooooHoooo! Thanks so much for making that silk ribbon color match chart!! Tho I don't have many of the SU inks, I can totally get the idea of the shade of the ribbon. This is so helpful & inspiring. Thanks for the encouragement to use the big ribbon on small cards. I have some and it just seems sooo big that I haven't used it yet. And the small ribbon is so small, I wish there was a size in between. Hmmm, now I know what colors I want on my next order! Love the sampler packs. :)

  53. WOW! You read my mind, Michelle! I was just thinking that is wide ribbon for a 3"x3" card! It is fabulously elegant! I truly like both cards, but since purple is my favorite color...I love that purple flower with the pearl. Although the second card would be great for thank you's especially for the holiday time...it looks like the tag is an ornament. I love this ribbon!

    Thanks for sharing!
