Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style - Thank you, Thank you!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this week's Ribbon Inspiration Stamp Simply Style. This week we were challenged to make 2 thank you cards.  Both being essentially the same, only 1 being a CAS version of the other.  Fun, right?!?

Well, I took this opportunity to continue making my Christmas thank you cards for the boys.  They have lots of relatives to thank this year.  My cards focus on the Christmas paper, Snowfall by Bo Bunny.  LOVE this paper pad.  It has non traditional colors which are perfect for both Christmas and general winter themed cards.  I used the stamp set, O Christmas Tree by JustRite Stampers.  I love that this set coordinates with the Nested Lacey Pennant dies by Spellbinders -which is one of my favies.
My CAS version is perfect for mailing.  For this design, I omitted the ribbon, flower and brown cardstock layers.  In lieu of ribbon, I used a piece of brown pattern paper.  I also used a corner rounder at the top to add a bit of interest.
Each week we will have fabulous Blog Candy (this week's is pictured below) inspired by our theme.  This week Sharon is offering the Vintage Brown Ribbon Sampler!  The winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, one comment per blog, please.  The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, January 17th and posted on Sharon's blog on Wednesday.
Here is the list of today's participants:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.
Card Deets:
Stamps - O Christmas Tree (JustRite Stampers)
Cardstock - White and brown
Pattern Paper -  Snowfall Collection 6x6 (Bo Bunny)
Accessories - brown wrinkled ribbon, Clear rhinestones colored with copic marker (Kaisercraft), Copic markers, Stickles, Prima Avon Rose in Alla Prima

Spellbinder dies  - Labels Three, Nested Lacey Pennants and Nested Pennants

Beautiful cards! So glad you're teaching your boys that it's the right thing to do to say thank you especially a written note. It's a lost art among so many young. My grandaughter and I did the same this year.

Nice idea as a thank you letter...before I read it I thought you were inspired early for a Christmas card. But I do enjoy these colors and believe it would be good for any occasion especially a masculine card.

Hi Michele~

I LOVE these cards! That paper is gorgeous, and I love the bottom of the card. (The combination of the papers---that is fabulous!)

I really like both cards...I can't decide which I like best. They are both wonderful...and good for you! Getting your children to write thank you notes.

It was quite a battle for Josh and I. We settled on him drawing pictures of enjoying the gift on the inside!

Thanks for sharing these 2 great cards!
