Hi everyone, today is Tuesday and that means another Jbelle challenge! This week's challenge is TO CASE ME! WooHoo! Throughout the next several months, we will be showcasing members of the Design Team and put up a tutorial they wrote on the Jacksonbelle Blog. My tutorial was actually posted a couple weeks ago -it's on Shimmerz!! It has been reposted for anyone who missed it. This is so exciting for me- I CAN'T wait to see what my fellow JBelle DT and all of you make!! Don't forget, everyone is invited to play along. You don't need to have JBelle supplies to play, but if you don't have any, you can check out the store and see what strikes your fancy.
To play you can go to my SCS gallery, find a card and CASE it -which means to use it as your inspiration and change a couple things to make it your own. Be sure to use the SCS keyword JBE038, so we can find all your creations.
I decided to case this card I did awhile ago for one of my DoubleDog Dare Challenges (DDC) which was to case the SU catty. I changed up the papers, used a ribbon blossom (shout out to Pam Basset-4Hounds!) instead of prima flowers, and used some Basic Grey Rub-ons instead of stamping the sentiment. The DP is Basic Grey Bittersweet and are scrap strips from previous cards made.
I made 2 cards -one birthday and one anniversary. BUT can I just say, this ribbon blossom took about an hour and it wasn't the easiest thing to do. So the second card I used primas with a Basic Grey Bittersweet brad in the center instead!
I am thinking my blossom needs to be trimmed up a little more, but all and all I like it. Here's a picture of some of the supplies I used. Look at all the ribbon scraps it left! LOL! I followed Pam's tutorial on SCS. All the ribbons and burlap string that tied it all together came from Pinkhedgehog Papercrafts.
Don't forget to check out the other DT blogs for their cased cards!
