Homemade card for my mom

My mom and dad only have 4 days between their birthdays! Yikes! Last week, I made my dad that monogramed set of cards "from the desk of" with plaid and today I made my mom this card. I used an image from Crafty Secrets Homemade booklet. There are amazing vintage kitchen images in it. My mom is totally into vintage and a TREMENDOUS cook, so this is perfect. I actually had a tough time chosing an image from the booklet, I found about 5 that fit her. Good thing, now I am set for the next year or two of cards :-)
There is NO stamping on this card! I simply trimmed out the image and framed it with several layers of cardstock. I used Papertrey's Pink Patterns DP along with their matching cardstock. The ribbon is also from PTI, their Sweet Blush Dotted Satin. It's very lovely, but not double sided, it is a challenge to get the complete bow and trails all showing the dotted side. In keeping with the little dots, I used my Swiss Dots EF on one side of the card for some texture. The flower in the lower corner is from the retired SU spring flowers punch.

Card deets:
Paper - Sweet blush, Berry sorbet, Spring moss and Pink patterns DP all from PTI
Accessories - Crafty Secrets Homemade booklet, black brads, ribbon, cuttlebug folder, SU spring flower punch

  2. What a really sweet Mother/Daughter card! I really like the colors and your bow, of course. I am so glad I 'follow' you, Michelle. I need to check my follow list more often too.
