Today's featured stamper on SCS is Denise, Card Crazy! Such a lovely gallery, be sure to check it out. I chose this card to case. I kept it's lovely layout, but changed the image and on the center panel I used a lighter shade of cardstock. So, as I mentioned in my post below, I just bought some Copics and tried them out on the Siberian Iris image from Flourishes. This image intimidated me for some time, but after seeing several stunning examples of ladies using it in the SCS gallery, I went for it. I used several shades of lavendar for the shading. I used V12, V15 and V17. For the stems I used G21 and G28. I can already see that I will be buying MORE of these little Copic pens!! The center and highlight areas have glitter on them.
I stamped the base of the card with my Paisley BG in Perfect Plum ink. The center panel is Pale plum and stamped with Sanded BG with Pale Plum ink. The black gems I found at Michael's in their dollar section. The dotted organdy is from Heidi's store. The Plum Pudding cardstock base is from my friend and co-dirty girl Denise, Peanutbee. She took pity on me and sent me some so I could see once and for all what the difference is between it and SU!s Perfect Plum. Thanks Denise!!

ReplyDeleteWhen I first got my Copics I thought I'd made a huge mistake! My coloring was terrible. Practice makes it better :) Check the copic blog too, its great for beginners and experts. http://ilikemarkers.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! The Copics have really tempted me, but I am resisting so far. You make it more difficult!
