Hi everyone! Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers, second only to Roses. So I was so excited when I saw this gorgeous Sunflower Stencil set by Spellbinders called Layered Sunflower Stencil which is part of the newly released Serenade of Autumn Collection. The stencil is 8.5"x11" and is separated into 6 stencil parts.
I wanted to make something a little different and did you know there are purple sunflowers?! Yes there are. Not too sure where they are found in nature, but you can buy the seeds on Amazon! So I went with it and I love how they turned out.
Whenever I do layered stenciled projects I always make 2. It makes sense, as long as the ink is out and the stencil is dirty may as well. Also, most times I mess up one so bad that I need the second. But this time I was able to use BOTH of my sunflowers.
They are so pretty, I kept both cards very simple with a pop of black and white striped paper and black sentiments. I just let them shine all on their own.
