Hi everyone! I'm sharing a couple projects with the Spellbinders October Club kits. I'm using the Small Die, Wax Seal and a few elements from the Quick and Easy card kits. This month I used the wax seal a little differently than I normally do. I used them on envelopes. Which, I guess is the more traditional way of using wax seals. I will not be mailing these, I will hand deliver and they will be placed in a basket of home made goodies for my neighbors.
First up is the adorable Santa from the Small Die of the Month. He is called "Big Jolly Santa" and jolly he is! He is large and fills up most of the A2 sized card front. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Quick and Easy card kit as the background and added a few of the gold starburst pieces from the kit. This was pretty easy to put together. This month there is an add-on stamp set which are little sentiments for inside Santa's banner! I didn't use one on my card, but check it out they are cute and only $6.99!
See the puffy trim details on his hat, boots and gloves? That's Liquid Applique and I think it adds the perfect amount of texture. I added a little bit of shading to the Santa pieces with a few copic markers. I just followed the debossed parts from the die set.
Here is the "Merry Christmas To You" wax seal of the month. Perfect for all the Christmas card envelopes! I used a wax seal adhesive circle and stuck it to one of the embellishments from the card kit. Simple and SO CUTE! I adhered the floral piece to the top of the flap only to allow the envelope to be opened and not have to tear through it.
Supplies used on these cards:
Clear Stamp add-on to the Small Die (not used)
Quick and Easy card kit
Gold Pearls
Liquid Applique
Copic markers
