Hi everyone! I have a fun mini slimline card to share today. I'm continuing with my Christmas in July projects using products from Yana's De-Light-Ful Christmas collection by Spellbinders. This card uses a fun new oval wax seal! I did the 2 wax color technique on this seal and I love how it turned out. Full disclosure, this was not my first or even second attempt at this! lol!
To make the wax seal I first melted red wax and applied it to the wax seal stamp that I had heated up. Heating the metal up will allow the wax to stay warm and give you time to scrape the excess off. Then, I put the wax seal stamp into some ice and once it cooled, I took a razor blade and carefully shaved off all the extra red wax. Finally, I melted the gold wax and placed the wax seal stamp into it. When you remove it, you will see the amazing red parts come to life!
Once again, I used the Holiday Blooms die set for the poinsettias and other blooms on this card. I absolutely love this die set, such a good one to have in your collection. I kept the card clean and mostly white and I love how it makes the wax seal to really stand out! The sentiment is from the A Merry Little Christmas Sentiments Glimmer set that is in the collection. This sentiment set has quite a few sentiments that you need for any card shape and size.
