Home Sweet Quilt: Mini slimline and 3x3 cards

Hi everyone! I'm back today to share a couple more cards from the new Home Sweet Quilt collection by Spellbinders. I made a couple 3x3 cards and a mini slimline card. I LOVE both of these sizes, so when I saw the collection had die sets in these sizes, it made me very happy!

My 3x3 cards use the Log Cabin and Flower Mini Quilts die set. This set comes with 2 3x3 quilted patterns for quick and easy 3x3 note cards, my cards use the Log Cabin design. I love cards this size because it's easy to slip into a gift bag and while I love to wrap Christmas presents, for other gifts throughout the year I almost always use a gift bag.

Products used on these cards:
Be Bold Blooms die set (accent flowers)

This thank you card uses the French Braid and Hexagon Panels, this die set comes with 2 quilt patterns that make a mini slimline sized card -my card uses the French Braid design. They are a bit smaller, but this allows you to mat them and then put on your 6x3 card base.

Products used on these cards:
White and lavender cardstock
Patterned paper from stash
Lavender satin ribbon from stash

All of these cards were relatively easy to put together. First I die cut them in white to get the "frame outline" and then die cut again in solid cardstock and patterned papers. After that, it was a matter of adhering the pieces in the openings.

Tip for adhering all the little pieces:
1. Take your tape runner and pretty much run adhesive over the entire card base
2. Adhere the outline
3. Then there will be adhesive run in each of the openings, making it super easy to adhere all the pieces.
This ended up being MUCH faster than adhering each little piece with dots of liquid glue like I did for the first set of cards!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
