Hi everyone! The

many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to
leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random
commentors who will each win a grab bag of deeply etched,
pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check
the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!
Today we are spotlighting the One Free with Three set, Great Sayings and the Believe in Yourself Duo. In honor of Gina's 3 year anniversary, Believe in Yourself is free with any $35.00 purchase through March 31st!
My first card uses Believe in Yourself -this butterfly is stunning! I inked it in yellow and tapped red ink along edges. The delicate pattern paper is Piccadilly from Basic Grey. I did a lot of sewing on this card -even a little zig zag! I played along with the Deconstructed Sketch 42, LOVE this sketch!
Next up is my card from Great Sayings. I went super CAS with this one and got the layout idea from the fabulous Laurie Schmidlin (isn't she amazing?)
So I originally stamped the sentiment directly on the back panel, but it smeared slightly! I couldn't start over because that was the LAST piece of cute green dotted paper I had! So I improvised. Turned out OK in the end. See how blurry the "me" was?

ReplyDeleteThanks for the honesty! Makes me feel I'm not the only one doing things like that! What I also love about this butterfly is how easy it seems to be cut.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterfly and love that rolling hill you created for the flowers!! Awesome designs Michelle!
ReplyDeleteThese are both so fresh & pretty Michelle! I love the pretty patterned papers you send and love that fancy border in your One Free with 3 card and how the tree is growing out of the patterned paper mound on your second card.

ReplyDeleteLove them both! Nice colors.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! You made me smile by sharing your smeared sentiment story. I love seeing how others 'rescue' their cards, since this kind of thing happens to me all the time! Thanks for sharing your lovely work.

ReplyDeleteIt just goes to show that sometimes accidents are a very good thing in disguise. Having the sentiment popped up makes it stand out and take notice.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards. Love the colors of that butterfly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Thanks for showing how you recovered from a smeared stamp. We all have that issue from time to time and it's so much better to move forward, rather than stop and start over.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! I'm in love with the butterfly card!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought this was the Verve butterfly as they are so similar. Love the variegated colouring you used on it. Totally darling second card :)

ReplyDeleteI love your layout! And the purple and green is just a yummy combination. The butterfly just pops right off of the page on and they all are wonderful.
Oh, Michelle, that butterfly!!!! I have to study it and try to case it! Thanks for teaching me not to give up when smudging, just 'work around' it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who has to improvise to cover smudges! I love the details on your cards. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your green dots! Glad to know I'm not the only one who improvises when an error occurs (not a mistake, that has different implications!)You might want to invest in some UnDo--then you wouldn't have to worry about un-sticking precious one-of-a-kind things.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely,very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love your color choices! So many delicate details too. You are amazing!

ReplyDeleteCan't get over how beautiful this butterfly image is. Everyone's take on this image is fabulous. Couldn't possibly go wrong with this stamp. It is gorgeous dressed up or down.
