Hi everyone! Welcome to this week's Ribbon Inspiration Stamp Simply Style.
This week we are using shades of blue! Anything goes, we just had to use blue ribbon.
My card uses the fabulous background stamp by JustRite Stampers, Chevron Stipe Background and the sentiment set, Spring Words. The cool thing about background stamps is how versatile they are. You can make quick and cute cards with them and few other supplies. Here is a simple birthday card.
Here is another...
I was so inspired I made a few more in different colors.
Some of you may not have a background stamp block and wonder if you can use the stamps anyway? Well, here is how I stamp with them. I lay the stamp on my desk, ink it up and lay the paper on top. You can use your hand to evenly wipe your paper across the ink, or you could use a brayer. You will notice I have another stamp turned face up below my inked stamp? I put it there to give my paper an even place to lay. Since this is a 1 layer card and I needed stamping was PERFECTLY even, I found my paper was tipping awkwardly without the support.
Each week we will have fabulous Blog Candy (this week's is pictured
below) made up of the ribbons that we feature. The winner will be drawn
from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, one
comment per blog, please. The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 17th and posted on Sharon's Blog on Wednesday.
You must check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner!

ReplyDeleteHi Michelle~
ReplyDeleteI just love how creative you were with this stamp! (I just learned what a chevron was when Joshus received his "Chevron" stripes when he graduated Basic Military Training with the Air Force. Otherwise, I had no idea what a chevron was...but you made it look beautiful. I really love the "Best Wishes" and my favorite was when you made it in the pink with the "circle of love". The little rhinestones and that beautiful rose on the heart...so special!
I hope you and yours are all doing well. I think of you often.
Thanks for entering me in this awesome give-away.
