Hi everyone! I have a scrapbook page to share today and some blog candy!
I mentioned when I started with the Spellbinders team that part of my duties is to make a scrapbook page every month. I won't lie, these are tough for me. I love the smaller "work canvas" of an A2 sized card. Filling up a 12x12 page is a challenge for me! But, as the months go on, it gets a bit easier. Here is a layout I did a couple month ago. It is now shown in the Spellbinders Idea Gallery website, so I can share it here with you.
This picture was taken 9 years ago when Bill and I went on our "pre-honeymoon" (due to our work schedules we went on our honeymoon before we got married). I am pretty matchy-matchy with the papers I use and the colors in the photo when I do a page. I just can't help it! So, I used the Antiquities 12x12 pad from GCD Studios which had a perfect mixture of burgundy and mauve colors! The flower embellishments were created from the Grand Peony Creations die templates. I also used the Classic Bracket Edgeabilities edger die and the decorative insert from the Classic Triple Scallop Edgeabilities to create my edges. It's hard to capture in pictures, but there is a lot of glitz on this page. Not only are the papers are glittered, but I used stickles on each of the flower blossoms I created as well.
Now, on to the blog candy. OK, so when my BFF Teresa and I went to Winter CHA (last January), we collected some goodies from the various booths (this post shows some pictures from that trip). I had it in mind to offer these as blog candy, and I am embarrassed that they sat at the bottom of a box for 9 months! pfft. Anyway, I have a sampling of little chachies from various booths.
There are (Lot A):
A set of gift cards from ???
3 single stamps from Unity Stamp Co
Sample of glitter cardstock from Paper Accents
Instant Journaling vellum sheet from Quick Quotes (I found some others that are not in the picture)
A couple pin/broaches from Paper Crafts (on my blog post linked, you can see a picture of Susan Opel wearing one of these pins!)
Ribbon broach from Making Memories
Fabric flower broach from Hero Arts
I will also add some KaiserCraft and Cosmo Cricket pattern papers from my stash to this lot!
I will also add some KaiserCraft and Cosmo Cricket pattern papers from my stash to this lot!
I also have up for grabs a couple stamp sets from Inkadinkado (Lot B). There is a Halloween set, new and unused and a Christmas set (1 stamp used).
I thought I would offer these to 2 commenters. I realize Lot A may not appeal to everyone, so leave me a comment letting me know which Lot you would appeal to you, Lot A, B or both. I will chose 2 commenters on Tuesday evening and post on Wednesday. I have one request, if you do not follow my blog and you leave a comment, PLEASE check back to see if you are a winner. The last several times I had blog candy, the winners never came back to claim their prize.

ReplyDeleteI remember climbing the stairs up the Eiffel tower to the viewing platform - that was a long way up LOL. Way down made me dizzy as we were racing to the bottom and you go round and round in circles. Thanks for the chance at some goodies :)
Your layout reminds me of a trip to Paris when I was expecting my son - he's now 42!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to win - is it open to me in the UK? If so, I'd prefer lot B.
Great layout!!!! Inspires me to start on my long overdue pages!!! Love lot B

ReplyDeleteNot an official follower--which I think is different than checking out your blog daily, which is what I do. So I thank you for your creative inspiration as well as the chance to win from your giveaway, either packet of which would be something to turn on the creative juices and see what can be done with what is offered.
ReplyDeleteFab Layout and I'd love lot B I don't have any of those

Your Paris trip reminds me of one I made with my mother in 1988. We ate at the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. Beautiful views, especially at night. I'd like to win Lot B. I don't have many Halloween stamps and these look great. I'm a follower.

ReplyDeleteI like both lots, and thanks so much for the chance to win.
Hi Michelle! This LO is beautiful, love the colors (I match colors to photos too) I don't know how NOT to!! :) I do love those stamps, so I'll say Lot B. I'm already a subscriber, so I'll definitely be back Wednesday! Crossing my fingers :)
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI love your scrapbook page! I struggle making those too. 12x12 is a BIG space compared to an A2 card. The colors are pretty and your flowers are goregous! I really like your Spellbinders edge as well. Will need to add that to my wishlist. Thanks for a chance to win. Either lot is fine with me.
oooh la la ... I am a matchy matchy too. Love the layout. Paris..how beautiful. Thanks for the chance at the win. I would prefer lot B. I love those stamps and have been planning to purchase. The win would be AWESOME!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your layout - that photo of you is great. Thanks for the offer - Lot A looks good to me~

ReplyDeleteI love your Paris page... I think it is perfect! I would love to win either blog candy but if you need one answer I would go with the assortment from CHA. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteLot B is my favorite. So glad I found your blog. I've got it bookmarked. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome page! Great photo of you, and the flowers are gorgeous! Thank you for the chance to win (either lot would be great)!
ReplyDeleteI like lot A ( have half of B) but like the Halloween set which I do not have.
ReplyDeleteI think if you find scrapbooking a challenge you don't show it. Your page is lovely.
You should try a 6x6" or 8x8" srapbook page if you like smaller canvases. They can be great too and you can use smaller paper packs. I like lot A. I will definitely be checking back as I get all of your posts by email.
ReplyDeleteYour Paris layout is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe floral embellishments are
great...
I would be a happy camper with either
fun prize giveaway!
Many thanks, Cindi
