Welllll, I placed my first order a few weeks ago and could barely wait to get them inky when they arrived this weekend! My card today is for the May Blog Waltz, which is a blog hop of sorts for Waltzingmouse. This month's theme is to make a masculine card. You can go to this forum thread to find links of all the players. My card uses the set, Say it Loud and pattern paper from MME, the new Lime Twist collection, Out of the Blue 6x6 pad (LOVE all the new Life Twist papers, sigh). I embossed the sentiment as I found it the easiest way to stamp on vellum -otherwise it smears no matter how long it sits!
My card is also for this week's SCS Featured Stamper challenge to case Aimes. I am new to her gallery, but she is a fantastic stamper! I chose to case this card. I kept the same adorable layout and use of vellum for the sentiment! I changed up the flower and buttons for stars and made my card a birthday card.
Here is a peek at the inside.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! I'll leave you with a close up.

ReplyDeleteHi Michelle~
ReplyDeleteI absolutely think you stole the show with that silver embossed
"Happy" on the vellum. Was that done one time? Mine never looks that thick! This looks like it could be peeled off and used as an embellishment somewhere else!
I like this card...love the twine. It reminds me to "Catch a Star and make a wish on it!" This card would be wonderful for anyone. I LOVE when THAT happens!
