Hi everyone! The Ippity Stamps sneak peeks have begun!!
This is so exciting, Ippity releases 8 sets every 3 months and the time is HERE!! For those of you new to Ippity, it is a stamp line from Unity Stamping Co. The stamps are sold only by peeps like me, you won't find them at any online or brick and mortar store. Gals who sell Ippity are called "Ippity Chicks"! How fun is that?
Today the Design Team is peeking 2 sets, Moonbeams and Heart Strings and Fishy Philosophy. AND you can find set snippets on the Ippity blog!! My card use Moonbeams. You will love this one, it is a set of 8 stamps that are perfect for baby cards AND love cards -yep, both!! I stamped the stars/moon strings image and cut them out to dangle above the sentiment panel. I channeled Amy Sheffer again for her clever ribbon treatments! I had fun with my Spellbinder dies as you can tell -making the frames is kind of a pain, but worth it, don't cha think?!?
I just got a new pack of Core'dinations WhiteWash Collection, and I used the blue one for this card. Keep an eye out, I will be using this cardstock throughout my peeks!
I didn't have time to make a card with Fishy Philosophy, but as it turns out, I DO have something to share. I should preface this by stating the I HAVE BOYS. Not girls, nothing pink and frilly EVER goes on at this house, save my crafting area -LOL!
OK - So I sat down with Ryan (my 4yo) to make Valentines for his class. After HOURS (which felt like DAYS) of tantrums, we compromised to make a Valentine with an animal on the front and taping a piece of candy to it. Out of ALL my animal stamps (including Prehistoric Pals by SU!) he CHOSE THE FISH FROM FISHY PHILOSOPHY! LOL! Can't argue with his taste :-)He chose the colors and stamped them all himself (egads, don't look at my iron on the ground in the background). He punched the holes with the Crop-a-dile and taped the candy on all "by himself" (that's big around here). Then that was it -then he moved on to the Wii game! Here is the final bunch. I used the ticket corner punch at the top and added a small piece of ribbon. I REALLY WANTED TO DO MORE TO THESE! The crafter in me was horrified that they weren't cute enough, but the kids ARE 4 and these will get thrown away as soon as the candy gets ripped off them! LOL!
Anyway, these give you a peek 1 of the 2 fish images from the set!!
Be sure to check out the DTs amazing sneak peeks and we even have a couple Unity girls playing along too!

ReplyDeletebeautiful card.. and love those cool Valentine tags.
ReplyDeleteI think Ryan's Valentines are super sweet!! I used to LOVE making Valentines with my little ones!! My oldest will be 21 on Valentines day and we made some cute stuff over the years!! I was horrified last night when she came home with super tacky valentines from WALMART to give to her 3 year olds at the daycare where she works!!! I even ordered the woodland creatures kit thinking she would want to use those and make something but with 18 hours in college this semester and working I guess she just didn't want to! Oh well sorry for the long comment.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! Ryan's valentine's are the cutest ever!! How sweet that he wanted to make them and picked everything out!! I love that!! Your Welcome Little One card is so sweet too!! Love the colors... perfect for a boy baby!

ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little face your son has... they grow up soooo quickly!! I remember the "all by myself" stage so well. Takes ten times longer to do things, but to see their little chest puff up with pride at having done it alone is worth the loooong assembly time :D Darling card too :D

ReplyDeleteLove the valentine cards! I so get that! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration with these adorable stamps!
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet project...
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I made valentines for her class again this year- And, despite my crafters horror, I too left them fairly plain. From past experience I know that if I put all my pretty embellishments on something for kids- it all ends up ratty and torn in the trash!
ReplyDeleteDepite all that- the valentines were UBER cute!
Love the Valentines!!! It is smart not to go overboard (as we are all prone to do!) because, YES, they will yank the candy off and eat it.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! I love the card, and your son's cards too!
ReplyDeleteThese turned out so cute..and what a great little helper!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat valentines :-)

You're better than me; I've tried not to help my kids, but couldn't keep my hands off. Is that "compulsive"? Your cards are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute Valentine idea. It's hard to find something that boys can give that's not girly when they make it themselves. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card, and that is just too funny about you wanting to do more to the candy tags! But I'll be your son was just so proud of himself!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card, and that is just too funny about you wanting to do more to the candy tags! But I'll be your son was just so proud of himself!
ReplyDeleteBeeeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteLove your baby card. I'm glad to see I'm not the only mom that wanted to do more to their son's Valentines. Mine was his box he wanted to make. It's not how I invisioned it nor how I would have done it. It's so hard to hold back. Darn creativity! lol
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, I love the stars and the moon, so clever!
ReplyDeleteLove the card! The fish tags are cute.
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter uses my stamps everytime she comes over to make a card for someone. (I'm training her to be a Unity/Ippity Girl) Thanks for sharing your talents.\
