World Card Making Day!!

Hi everyone and happy World Card Making Day!!!!

Oh man, there is so much going on in the blogasphere today. In honor of our craft, Splitcoast Stampers is helping you celebrate in a BIG way with challenges, chatting and lots of prizes!! The challenges will begin 7am Pacific, with a new one posted EVERY hour - 12 challenges in total!

AND there is a massive blog hop on World Cardmaking Day blog. Here is the link -there are literally hundreds of bloggers who will be posting cards today in celebration. How fun is that?!

First up, I have a couple cards to share for the Verve WCMD challenge. I am excited to be the hostess! The challenge is a color challenge of sorts. Here is a link to pictures of the flags of all the world's nations. Your challenge is simple: pick a flag and make a card using the colors of that flag. Be sure to tell us what country you chose and the colors on it.

I chose Rwanda, and their lovely colors of pale blue, green and yellow. This first card uses Verve's Delightful and Delicious set. I pieced the coffee mugs with the retired SU! Delicate Dots pp. This one is pretty simple and uses one of my favorite layouts of all time.

And, since I had the Top Note die out... I used it again on this next card. It also uses another favorite layout of mine.

The felt flowers are from my LSS and are by Creative Cafe. The sentiment is from Verve's Fluttering By. The pattern paper is from the Autumn matpack by Reflections.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another HSE Cupcake Inspiration challenge!
