Why not? Repeat sketch in raspberry colors!

Hi everyone! Happy 4th of July! I have to make this super short, heading on out to a bbq at my sister's house!! FUN!!

Anyway, I titled this post "Why Not" cause I liked my sketch card from Wednesday, I made another for Dawn's Raspberry color challenge 11 -why not? It's just about the same card jsut changed up to her colors of New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Black and light gray. Well, I don't have any New Leaf of any kind, but I think these letters are very much a grassy green, so I went with it! When you start using letters up from a chipboard pack, you have to get creative with the letters you have left, but my hubby Bill helped me come up with a-l-o-h-a. AND, I live in a town called Aloha, so how perfect is that??

I took my picture in the sun, and WHO knew that Raspberry Fizz was SO BRIGHT!! Get out your sunglasses -LOL! I went with the same felt flowers as the last one, but this time I added a felt butterfly in the Raspberry Fizz color and added some stickles to his wings. I don't know who makes the butterfly, I got it at my LSS in many colors. I have almost nothing in a light gray color except for a couple scraps of cardstock, so the frame on the white panel is done with the gray and I brought in the red with the center brads.

I had a question from my last post on what kind of glue I use with Chipboard. I use either my normal Tombo Multi-liquid glue (green bottle) or Aleens thick designer Tacky Glue which is what I use for felt and anything that is hard to hold! Both of these are sold at Joanns and Craft Warehouse. I hope this helps!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Cute card -- and I know what you mean about having to be creative with remaining letters in chipboard/sticker packs! Aloha was perfectly clever. Do you live in Aloha, Oregon? How many Alohas could there be?! I grew up in Monmouth, OR but am now on the east coast :(
