Today we preview the sets Black Tie Birdies and Birthday Surprise. Oh what fun sets and they mark the return of the cute little birdies that are in the Anniversary Birds set. I LOVE those elegant birds with the swirly tails! I mean, look at their little feet?!? How cute are they? Be sure to check out Verve's Blog and see what the other Divas came up with using these sets.
Here is my first card, using the Black Tie Birdies set. I used Basic Grey Sugard DP and finally busted out my Floral Fantasy CB folder. The ribbon is SU's Moss Taffeta and each bow has a pink gem in the middle. The balloons are stamped with Mellow Moss, Baroque Burgundy, and Pretty in Pink. Ready for one more?
The details for this card using the Birthday Surprise are on Shannan's Verve blog post. But briefly, I used some of my new Basic Grey Eva paper and chose the colors for the card from it. I embossed the cutie patootie balloons with silver EP and cut and popped them up. The cool green dotted satin ribbon was a super find at Michael's $1 bin -love it!! I layered it with some white satin, looped it with pink taffeta and fastened it down with a gem brad. Hard to photograph, but super cool IRL.
