Spellbinders | August 2023 Small Die of the Month

Hi everyone! It's the beginning of August and that means the reveal for all the Spellbinders monthly club kits are here and it's another stellar month! 

My card today uses the Small Die of the Month which is called Breezy Swing and features a beautiful lady on a swing and a variety of flowers for accents. She has a lovely flowing dress, hair and hat and the possibilities are endless.

 I paper pieced her flowing dress with a piece of patterned paper from the Quick and Easy Card kit (stay tuned for cards from the kit). I knew immediately I wanted to give her a belt and use a small flower sequin as an accent and then another for a matching flower on her hat. I decided to match the colors of the flowers with the sequin, so I went with Island Blue. I die cut the flowers with blue, black and white cardstock to keep it simple and elegant. The background of my card uses the Embossing Folder of the Month called Arches and Dots and I matted the top and left sides with black cardstock.
