Hi everyone!! Welcome to this week's Ribbon Inspiration Stamp Simply Style. This week we are showcasing SILK RIBBON. I love, love, love silk ribbon. It's delicate, thin, pliable and makes beautiful bows. In addition, we are also playing along with the Hope You Can Cling To
challenges over at Splitcoast stampers. This is a month long effort to increase
breast cancer awareness and add cards to their card drive. There is a
LOT going on -- daily challenges, prizes galore and a card drive.
The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2011 Hope You Can Cling To
month long event.
Please check it out, play along, donate some cards
and in the process have an opportunity to win some of the fabulous
prizes being offered. I am playing in the Encircled with Love challenge which is to make a circle card.
My card uses the pink 1/4" silk ribbon accented with an Orchid Fairytale Rose. The fabulous image is from the amazing JustRite stamp set, Strength and Courage. I omitted the oval border and opted for a Spellbinders Labels Four shape as it fit better on my card. The pattern paper at the bottom is from one of the new 6x6 My Mind's Eye pads -yes, they came out with another collection called the 6x6 Collection! Gorgeous and amazing designs just as you would expect with MME.
Each week we will have fabulous Blog Candy (this week's is pictured
below) made up of the ribbons that we feature. The winner will be drawn
from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, one
comment per blog, please. The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, October 18th and posted on Sharon's blog on Wednesday.
Here is the list of today's participants:
P.S. Before I go, I want to mention that on Monday the 17th, Sharon is starting the Stamp Simply 12 days of CAS Christmas cards on her blog. These will be easy to make AND mail Christmas cards. Perfect for everyone!! I will be playing along several of the 12 days, so stay tuned!
