My project is also a sample for this week's H{ippity} Hop challenge brought to you by Kelly, which is a color challenge of Black, one neutral and one color. Use keyword: IHHC7 when uploading.
Hummm, this was tough for me. I struggle with black and white cards for some reason. So, I combined my card with this week's Featured Stamper challenge which honors my former DDC challenge mate Anne, jdmommy! She is queen of black/white and red! I cased this elegant card. I changed the image, added an embossed piece and actually ended up using Berry Sorbet instead of Real Red, but I just HAD to use the amazing satin ribbon -LOL!
My card uses the branch image from {ippity} Stamps Devoted and a sentiment from Just Wanted to Say. I colored the branch blooms with a Copic marker and added some iridescent sequins with black beads glued to the centers. This one is pretty simple, but has some texture to it with the use of my Swiss Dots EF! Congrats Anne, enjoy your day!
ON A SIDE NOTE: I will be taking a 2 week break from blogging. Tomorrow I will be getting a root canal (egads, I KNOW!), then at the end of the week I will be attending Winter CHA in Anaheim!! Very excited about the latter! I don't have a laptop, so no CHA posts while I am there, so you will see me when I return. I promise lots of pictures!
Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out the rest of the H{ippity} hop goodness!
