Sizzix and Catherine Pooler Rainbow Arches and Bright Butterflies

Hi crafty friends! I'm excited to be collaborating with Scrapbook.com to share inspiration for the latest collaboration release between Catherine Pooler and Sizzix.
💥This entire release is absolutely adorable! Be sure to check it out.💥
Check out what I made and scroll down for supplies used.
My baby card duo uses the Rainbow Arches die set combined with the Birthday Bunting die set for the BABY letters. The soft muted neutral colors and patterns are from the A2 Darling paper pad.
This paper pad is perfect for those expecting parents who want to be surprised with the gender!
I think it's fun to die cut both solids and patterns with the rainbow pieces. This paper pad has several solids that coordinates with the patterns making it super easy.
--------------------------------------
This simple butterfly card uses the new Border Party Circles die set and the Bright Butterflies Stamp and die set. I used a strip of paper from the A2 Bouquet paper pad and colored the butterfly to match! I die cut the body and trimmed a strip of Onyx Glitter paper for a pop of sparkle!
I love how all of these turned out!

Spellbinders | May 2023 Small Die of the Month -little boy birthday card

Hi everyone! It's the first of May and that means the previews for all the Spellbinders monthly club kits go live. This month's Small Die set is called Flyby Greetings and I just LOVE it! It's a set of 13 dies which make the airplane, hanging banner with 3 sentiment options and 2 cloud shapes. The little plane has such great detailing photos don't do it justice.

The set comes with 3 banner options, I used Happy Birthday, there is also You Did It! and Hip Hip Horray! There hasn't been a set like this in some time and I think it will be an early sell out. If you are interested be sure to sign up for a notification when it comes in stock for New Subscribers which is May 6th.

If you haven't already, check out the other Monthly Club Kits.

Card for baby Emma

Hi Everyone! WOW, I haven't made a card or posted in almost 3 months. I was dealing with some dental issues that had some rare complications. I was seriously out of commission for over 2 months! Yikes! BUT, I am back on my feet and have a precious little baby girl card to share.
I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch and a cute little teddy bear from a retired stamp set from Gina K Designs. I'm so glad I hung on to this set, I couldn't find a teddy bear image in any of my other stamp sets!! This little guy was colored with copic markers with T1, T3, T5 markers.
The adorable papers are from Queen and Company that I picked up during their Portland Queen for a Day Event -which was so fun! I've already signed up for their event in 2020. The stitched flower dies are from MFT that I purchased during their Black Friday sale. SO CUTE!!
Here is Julee's sketch:

It's a Boy!

Hi everyone!  Since Bill and I both turned 50 this year I kinda figured my making Welcome Baby cards were a thing of the past (for an actual baby, not just for my job), but NO! One of Bill's co-workers is expecting a boy at the end of the month and I am so excited to make a baby card for her!
I used the new stamp set Pitter Patter and combined it with a few items from The Good Life collection.  I used two of the new ribbons Sweet Haystack and Cotton Chambray Shirt. I love that both have some texture to them! And of course, what baby card is complete without some flowers! I used the blue one from the Meadow Flowers pack.

We were on vacation during her baby shower, so at this point we thought a gift card was the way to go. Now they can get whatever they still need for their baby boy, so I made a coordinating gift card holder with our die Gift Card Sleeve die.
I made the sentiment tag from our Tag Time Punch and used the Star Punch to make the opening at the top. So fun!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
P.S. If you want more information on how to use the Gift Card Sleeve die, check out the Product Spotlight video I did for it.

All products used are Fun Stampers Journey.

Quick and easy cards -wedding and baby

Hi everyone! I have an easy and versatile card layout to share today. This one is simple and I think has the right amount of texture and fun!

My first card is a wedding card using the new stamp set, Happy Wedding Day (can I say this set makes me happy!). I kept the colors monochromatic using white and the new Peaches and Cream color. I die cut 3 squares, layered them up and adhered over a panel embossed with the new Tiny Dot Embossing Folder (my absolute favorite new thing from the new catalog!!). Easy peasy and cute.

My next card is a baby card using the new set, Pitter Patter. This one is monochromatic using white with the Fresh Sage color. I just LOVE our new colors! And as I was editing this blog post I realized the Peach and Sage colors are the colors of my blog design. So I clearly have favorites!! lol!
Do you have a go-to layout for quick and easy cards? Let me know and share! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Here is a close up picture.

Spellbinders Featured Designer

Hi everyone!  Today I am being featured on the Spellbinders' blog as their Featured Designer for June!  I am so excited and honored!  I've been with Spellbinders for over 3 years now and each day is as fun as the next.  They are an amazing, innovative and generous company and I am thrilled to be designing for them.

AND there is a fun giveaway for you all too!  Spellbinders will be giving away all the dies I used on my card to one lucky person.
Knowing about the giveaway, I made a card using my 2 FAVORITE things, circles and roses!!
To make the chevron cardstock strips I used my Zig Zag Edger die from Classic Ric Rac Edgeabilities set.  I made my first cut, then worked my way down the cardstock lining up the die JUST at the edge of the cut.  This way I made all my strips the same size without doing measuring.
To make the circle rings, I start out by cutting the larger circle first.  (p.s. notice my brand new clean cutting mat?  How pretty is that!?!) I wanted my circle rings 1/4" thick, so I used both the Circles LG and Circles SM die sets.  On the right, my second cut is with the nesting size smaller from the other set. If I used only one set, the ring formed would be 1/2" which is also nice.
To make the rose, I cut 2 of each size petals from my favorite flower set, Rose Creations.  I like to make my flowers combining pattern paper and cardstock, so I cut 2 of each size of both kinds.
There are many ways to shape rose petals, I do mine in 2 easy steps.  First step is to cup the petals upward, I use my pen cap against my piercing foam.  The second step is to fold the ends downward, I use the edge of my scoring tool.
Next I adhere the 2 petals of the same together.  I lay them all out and fiddle around to see how I want my rose to look.
The dies come with a small hole in the center of the blooms which makes assembly easy.  I used a silver jumbo brad and alternated my patterns and had enough left over for another complete rose, which I put in my "extras" tin.
For the chance to win all the dies I used on my card head over to the Spellbinders blog and click on the contest link.

The dies being given away are:

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K Designs DT Inspiration Blog Hop where we hope to inspire you with many beautiful ideas for the sets released in December! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each because we will choose a few random commenters and they will win a grab bag of Gina's products!! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops.

Today we are spotlighting the new stamp set It's the Little Things, Illustrated by Becky
And Vertical Greetings, Illustrated by Theresa

First up is a baby card using It's the Little Things.  I just love this little elephant.  I am not an expert colorer, so I colored him with 3 grey Copic markers, really simple.  The balloons are stamped with Navy, Sweet Corn (outlined in Honey Mustard) with GKD Color Companions ink.

Next up is a sympathy card using Vertical Greetings.  These cards are always so hard to make, I kept it simple with minimal embellishments and just allowed the beautiful poppies image to say it all.
Ready for the hop?  Check out all the amazing designs and inspiration:

Buntings, Banners and Buttons

**This is my second post today, for the CAS-ual Friday Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2 card click HERE.**

Hi everyone!  I have a fun card to share today using the brand new (and super cute, if I do say so myself) stamp set and coordinating dies from JustRite Papercrafts.  These were designed by Samantha Walker and really have endless possibilities!

Here is the stamp set, Buntings and Banners:

Here are the Buntings and Button Dies:

I had a hard time deciding what to make, but ended up making a 4.25" square baby boy card.  I stamped the banner, die cut them out and then colored them in with copic markers.  I wrapped some baker's twine around the banner and attached a bow on each end.  The paper and coordinating flowers are from the Prima Zephyr collection.  Such fun happy bright colors!!
Other accents used are silver rhinestones and white wrinkled ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.

All items can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

More GKD January release cards

Hi everyone!  I have a couple more cards to share using the new Gina K Designs January release sets.  In case you missed it, this month was a big release for Gina.  Not only did we see the new Design Team for 2013, but Gina released Color Companions which are coordinating inks, buttons and ribbon offered in 8 colors!

First up is a sweet baby girl card I made with the Lovely Ladybug set.  I used some cute baby paper from Doodlebug Designs and stamped the ladybug to match in green.  That large label shape in the background is my favie, Labels Eighteen.
Next is a card using the set Stamp it BIG!.  I wanted to go big and bold with this one, to match the scale of the sentiment.  I accented the card with some of my vintage black buttons from my granny's tin and used some 1.5" striped grosgrain ribbon.  The glitter strip above the sentiment is 1/4" piece of Scor-tape covered with green glitter.  Very sparkly!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here are a couple close up pictures.

Happy Holiday hop

Hi everyone!  Two of Gina K Design illustrator's, Becky and Melanie thought it would be fun to team up for a little Holiday Blog Hop.  This hop will showcase Becky's new set, "Warm Woolen Mittens" along with Becky's new cut file "Grand Banners" and "Grand Banners - Winter Sentiments" and Melanie's new set, "Lots of Letters" as well as some of her other recent favorite stamp sets.

I am featuring the new set Lots of Letters, and made a cute and simple baby boy card.

My card also uses one of the cute border images from the set, Pretty Patterns.  I stamped it in a light grey ink and accented it with some of the smaller circle pattern stamps.  I made a couple rings with my Spellbinders circles dies and .  This can easily be made with pinks for a baby girl, or change the word and you have a Thank You card, or whatever.  That's what I love about alphabet stamps -they are so versatile!

Joining me are some talented designers that will knock your socks off with their beautiful work! Make sure you visit everyone's blog to leave a comment and be entered to win the "I  do!" and "Beyond Baskets" clear stamp sets!  A winner will be announced Thursday on Melanie's blog.  Now on to today's projects!
