Seashell shaped shaker card

 Hi crafty friends! I was putting away the stamps and dies from the Pretty Pink Posh June release and I put together this seashell shaped shaker card (say that 5 times fast) using some extra die cuts I had lying around!!

 I love a shaped card and this card is small but mighty! The seashell shaker die measures 4" tall so it can be easily slipped into a gift bag. To make the shaker element, I die cut a 3mm Adhesive foam sheet. These sheets cut surprisingly well and are perfect for shaker cards! I filled the shaker wells with the new Paradise Shaker Beads. Such bright fun colors!

I used one of the Stitched Coral die cuts and and blended it with Distress Oxide inks. The sentiment is from the Sentiment Strips: Summer stamp set. I wanted some sparkle, so I added stickles to the stitched lines in the die cuts. That's it! Easy peasy 😍

Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Mouse, Part 2

  Hi crafty friends! CALLING ALL MICKEY MOUSE FANS!!! I'm back today with a card and tag duo using the Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Mouse collection! This collection features 6 die sets, 1 BetterPress plate, and a variety of papers, ephemera and accessories in collaboration with Simple Stories. STEAMBOAT WILLIE DUO AND FRAME & SENTIMENTS

💥My card and tag duo uses the Steamboat Willie Duo and Frame & Sentiments die sets.💥

Steamboat Willie Duo die set: This has both Mickey and Minnie and is the cornerstone die set for the collection. Mickey and Minnie face each other, have multiple arm positions and work perfectly with all the other sets in the collection.

Frame & Sentiments die set: This has a circle frame and 4 fun sentiments to cut inside them. The frames are designed to fit the Alphabet and Numbers & Punctuation die sets. 

 

For my card background, I chose a black and white plaid paper from the Berry Sweet A2 paper pad. I die cut a Mickey and Minnie head and popped them up inside the "Well Hello There" and "Oh Boy!" frames. I die cut several stars as accents and a small twine bow to finish.

For the tag, I used the 3 and 1 Tag punch and some of the card left overs and a sentiment from my stash. I love how these turned out! Stay tuned for more inspiration from this collection.

Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Mouse, Part 1

 Hi crafty friends! CALLING ALL MICKEY MOUSE FANS!!! Today Spellbinders released the Say Cheese Classic Mouse collection and I am sharing the first of several cards I have with this collection 😍😍 This collection features 6 die sets, 1 BetterPress plate, and a variety of papers, ephemera and accessories in collaboration with Simple Stories.

STEAMBOAT WILLIE DUO AND FLAGS & BANNERS

💥My first card uses the Steamboat Willie Duo and Flags & Banners die sets.💥

Steamboat Willie Duo: This has both Mickey and Minnie and is the cornerstone die set for the collection. Mickey and Minnie face each other, have multiple arm positions and work perfectly with all the other sets in the collection.

Flags & Banners die sets: This has 2 gorgeous layered rosettes and curling flags that read "the best day ever". The rosettes are designed to fit the Alphabet and Numbers & Punctuation die sets. 

For my background, I used my favorite Tiny Dots embossing folder. This gives subtle texture without being to loud. I have Mickey holding the Banners and used a single layer of rosettes with small hearts in the center from the Frames and Sentiments die set. The glittery black cardstock I used as the tiny "tags" on my banners is from the Onyx Treasured Cardstock pack.

Modern Botanicals Clean and Simple Smiles card

Hi crafty friends! I have a quick and easy card to share using a set from the new Modern Botanicals Collection by Dina Wakley for Spellbinders. I love the cool modern vibe of this collection which features 2 BetterPress plate sets and 2 3D Embossing folders.

My card uses the Growing BetterPress plate and die set and my colors were inspired by this amazing photo from my DIY Color Deck! This Color Deck card is EVERYTHING. The vase has similar markings as the circles in this set, so I had to use it.

This set uses the Registration system, which means you have a template to set your plates on, allowing for different colors of ink and the overlapping design.

This was such an easy card to make. The hardest part was choosing my ink colors! The tiny white flowers and sentiment were left overs from cards I made last month, so this came together in no time.

I have some new inks in my collection and I want to play around with some more color combinations, so stay tuned!

Spellbinders Cheerful Chirps collection, 2 card designs

 Hi crafty friends! Today I'm sharing 2 cards using the Cheerful Chirps collection which is part of Spellbinders June release. This collection features 3 adorable bird die sets, a sentiment stamp set and a 3D Embossing folder. 💖

My first card features the Pretty Birds die set and the Cross My Heart 3D embossing folder for the background. I lightly inked the background with soft pink ink and adhered it to my card base. I love the adorable birds AND the pretty flowers in this set.

Notice all the sparkle on the bird perch? I used a piece of the Antique White Assortment pack from the Treasured Cardstock collection. There are 4 new colors released this month, Aquamarine, Onyx, Ruby and Antique White! You should check them out, they are stunning!

My second card features the Flying High die set and the Spread Your Wings Sentiments stamp set. This regal bird and the flowers in the set are so sweet I had to make it a shaker card! I made my shaker element with the Scallop and Stitched Edge Oval die set.
