Believe me, this will cure all that ails you!

Hahaha! I'm just playing around with this card!

It's for my final Hanna Monday post wrapping up my guest designer spot from Hanna Stamps. Scroll down for my JBelle challenge card for a brief description of my day yesterday, to see why I am a day late!

Anyway, I have had this idea for a "doctor" card for some time now. I rarely do funny-type cards, but this one I couldn't resist! I printed off the picture of Rob from my computer and generated the sentiment from the computer as well. The doctor is from the new Hospital Hanna set, is colored with copics, and cut out. The DP (blue pattern and the woodgrain) is October Afternoon from the Night Light line.

Thanks for stopping by!

Card Deets:
Stamps: Hospital hanna
Paper: Dark chocolate and white from PTI, Not quite navy, Night Light DP

Hanna Monday

Happy Monday everyone! I rarely post on Mondays, cause I am usually creating a card for both the CAS challenge my Tuesday JBelle challenge. But this month, I am the guest designer for Hanna Stamps and thought it would be fun to post some Hanna cards on each Monday - It's a Hanna Monday! (yeah -that song Manic Monday has been in my head all day!).

This first card is one using Perfume Sophie. Ahhhh... isn't she the cutest!?! I used some of my FAV Basic Grey dp (well, fav for right now!), Urban Prairie and some of the Basic Grey jumbo brads (from the Bittersweet pack). The layout has lots of dimension and lots of scallops, which is just perfect for Sophie getting all dolled up!

This next card uses the Hospital Hanna set. I went with some subtle Basic Grey paper from the Phoebe pack and kept things in the blue tones with just a touch of pink. This card is for Nurses Day! Very simple, just some straight panels with lots of primas. All the organdy and satin ribbon are from Heidi's store. Both Nurse Hanna and Sophie were colored with Copic Markers.

These cards are also for the Copic Creations challenge #1 which is to color skin tones. I used Skin White (E00) for Hanna and Caribe Cocoa (E25) and Sand (E33) for Sophie.

Hanna release day and a new weekly blog challenge

Hi everyone! Have you all been enjoying the sneak peeks of the Hanna Stamps release? Well, tonight's the release party and you can see the sets in their entirety!! The fun starts at 9PM Eastern time on the Hanna Forum.

This card is another example of the Mommies to Be set. Love the packages and the cute little umbrella with boy and girl on it!! I stamped the umbrella 2 times and popped it up on dimensionals.

The presents are colored with a pale pink Copic marker and a tiny bit of yellow and adorned with tiny rhinestones on the bows. The black buttons are vintage from my granny's tin. The both the DP and all the cardstock is from PTI. Here is a closeup of some of the details.

This next card is for my friend Rachel's (Hope Stamps Eternal) new challenge. She is starting a weekly cupcake inspiration challenge where she posts a yummy picture of cupcakes! There are some goodies up for grabs this week for her new online store, so be sure to check it out.

The cupcake picture she chose this week seriously made me drool!! So while I had some supplies left on my desk after making my JBelle challenge card (to be posted tomorrow), I decided to do her challenge. The "flower" is from Prima Wild Wood Collection, Mushroom and SOOOOO reminded me of the cupcake icing swirls!! I used a piece of DP from Bella Rose to bring in the soft pink color.

The chipboard is another story -I have had this on my desk FOREVER! One of my stamping friends sent this to me ages ago, and I have been scared to do anything with it. But, I finally took the plunge -I sponged it with Creamy Caramel and then painted it with Golden Shimmerz! I think it turned out really pretty, but I am thinking I could have spray painted it and accomplished the same look, LOL!

The base of the card is made with my new Mega rectangles nestabilities. I have seen my friend, Stacy (Twinshappy) make cards with this shape and was inspired to do the same. I wrapped the flourish piece with some Burlap String and then added a couple pink Rhinestones. Thanks for the challenge Rachel, I hope you like your card!!

Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow for my Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge card.

The card that was almost dirty!

Most of you know this month's Dirty Dozen theme is FASHION! Well, I had this idea floating around and asked my friend Shirley (squirrellyshirley) to borrow her Pattern of Friendship. Well, the time got away from me and I only had 1/2 a card done by the time the deadline creeped up on me! So, here it is...the card that was almost Dirty!!

Rememeber paper dolls? I may be dating myself here, but I just loved playing with paper dolls when I was a girl. So, I had an idea to make a paper doll and some clothes for her. I stamped the dress onto some coordinating patterned paper and hand drew the "clothing tags". I was inspired from my old tin of my grandma's buttons. They appear on this card in abundance and one even has the old thread still in it! I stamped the BG panel in Aida Cloth tone on tone and the sentiment is from Hanna Stamps, What would Hanna Say? I think she would say "Let's PLAY!"

Card deets:
Stamps - pattern of friendship, aida cloth, things Hanna would say
Paper - ruby red, river rock, groovy guava, white, patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket
Accessories - grandma's buttons, river rock double stitched ribbon, corner rounder, paper piercing tool
