Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #59

Hi everyone!  Today is Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out these beautiful elegant cupcakes!  Seriously.  Stunning.

My card really doesn't have anything to do with them, I guess I wasn't in a "pink" mood -LOL!

I used Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety papers.  I have had these for awhile and I don't think I have ever used them!  In fact, Cosmo has already come out with their NEW line since then - Delovely!  LOL!  Back to Garden Variety, they are a perfect match for the Tangerine Tango cs and Martha Stewart's persimmon seam binding ribbon.

I pieced the balloon with pattern paper, outlined the clouds with some Copic markers and added a couple light blue pearls from the Zva pearl round wheel.  The sentiment is from Verve's Dare to Be.

The layout is from this week's Card Pattern 64 sketch and my card is also for Verve's Up Up and Away: Ready Set Stamp challenge.  The challenge is to use the stamp set Up Up & Away.  You can check out the link for all the challenge details.

Important Notice:

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #58

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out these bold and bright cupcakes!

I just loved all the vibrant colors in this picture and took the opportunity to bust out my Hibiscus Burst and Kiwi Kiss cardstock!  I used some Basic Grey Green at Heart pattern paper and some Zva Creative felt flowers.  This card is pretty simple.  I kept trying to add something to the sentiment panel, but it ended up that I kinda like all the white space.

The layout is from last week's Card Pattern's sketch 62.  LOVE this circle sketch!!  I am behind on all the sketches cause I spent all last week picking out kitchen cabinets, quartz countertops and flooring for my kitchen remodel!  Lots of fun, but a bit stressful too!

Cupcake Inspiration challenge #57

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out these amazing cupcakes.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make a sample for today.  BECAUSE I am super excited to be starting a major kitchen renovation!!  Yep.  My gal CHARLENE is doing one, and I have to say, it got me thinking -why not?!  Why not create my dream kitchen while I LIVE here to enjoy it?  So, Bill and I started the ball rolling this week.  My card making and blog posts won't be as regular as normal over the next several months.  I will be sure to post before, progression and after pictures!

So in lieu of a sample card, I thought I would share some cards that were published in the Mar/April issue of Crafts 'n Things Magazine.  I was lucky enough to have 3 cards in there, and the current May/June issue has one

Spring Get Well: Stem images by Verve Stamps, sentiment by Technique Tuesday

Cupcake Inspiration challenge #56 and an announcement

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out this amazing cupcake.  OMG, I just want to reach in my computer and TAKE A BITE!!

I was inspired by the lovely pink color and silver ribbon.  I used the amazing Memory Box, Gossamer paper.  Rachel is sold out of this paper, but check out her Paper Category, there is LOTS of good stuff there!  My flowers are from Verve's One Person and stamped on pattern paper.  Sigh... aren't they GORGEOUS?  I used Zva Creative pearls from the Pearl Wheel, Round both in the flower centers and on the butterflies.  The sentiment is also from Verve, Wish Big.

I followed the April Sketch from Anabelle O'Malley over on the Emma's Paperie blog.  Seriously, Anabelle is so uber talented that I am hoping that just by PLAYING in her challenge, some of her talent will rub off on me -LOL!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC56 when uploading to online galleries. Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #55

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out these amazing cupcakes!!

My card does NOT do these beautiful flower cuppies any justice, but I was a bit short on time!  I followed this week's Fall To Layout #86 and went with circles.  I used pattern paper from Kaisercraft's Devonshire 6x6 pad (What up!  On sale for $6.74).  I was drawn to the orange-y coral and green colors in the paper pack.

You would think that making a card with pretty much nothing but 6 circles would be easy, but NOOOOOO!  You should see my craft area -I have circles punched from just about every paper in the pad all in different sizes.  Sigh... I arranged and rearranged these little buggars for over an hour!  Please tell me I am not the only one who is a bit touched with the OCD?!?  LOL!

I also added some tiny rhinestones from the Zva Creative Round Wheel for a little extra bling (this is sold out, but there are still some Round Pearls left).  See my card base?  That is MY LAST PIECE OF SOFT SKY CARDSTOCK!!  I can't tell you how sad I am at this.  Does anyone know if Soft Sky is one of the retired SU! colors that is being brought back?  If not, I am seriously hitting the EBAY!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC55 when uploading to online galleries . Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

Before you head over to the Sweeties and see how they rocked these gorgeous cupcakes, quick announcement -Rachel is having a STORE WIDE 25% off sale!  Yeppers, every thing in the store is on sale 25% off, no code necessary.  Go check out the new Stampavie, Kaisercraft, Hambly, Zva Creative, Cosmo Cricket and much more!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #54 and a BIG sale

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!

I have had a crazy last few days and unfortunately didn't have time to make a sample for today's challenge.  I hope to get one done in the next few days.  So, instead, I thought I would share a couple of cards I made during my time with the SCS Dirty Dozen.  OK, so they have nothing to do with the cupcake challenge, but I never have a chance to share my DD cards, so why not?!?

Both of these cards I made for my second month on the team, the theme was FASHION FOLLIES.  You can see the original SCS uploads here and here.  Note, you need to be an SCS Fan Club member to view the gallery links.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #53

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!

But first, I want to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY EASTER!!

Check out this photo!  Isn't it a wonderful combination of colors, flowers and butterflies?!?  Pretty cute, huh?!?

I took my inspiration from the lovely bright colors in the photo.  How could I not?  I thought the Basic Grey, Kioshi papers from the 6x6 pad would be PERFECT!   I made a couple Easter cards using Verve's Easter Joy set.

My first card uses one of my favorite pieces of the paper and some buttons from Cosmo Cricket, Joy Ride collection.  See the fun 2, 3, 4 hole buttons?  I have never seen a 3 hole button before -too cute!  The layout was inspired from Julie, from her adorable 2s4y48 bonus sketch entry!  Very versatile sketch!

My second card was inspired by Cath's Trigger Tuesday challenge.  Those amazing colorful Easter eggs are a perfect match to the egg garland image in the Easter Joy set.  I stamped the egg garland image 2 times and colored them with Copics.   I added some bright pink mini crystals from the Zva Creative round wheel to make each egg POP!

The background piece is embossed with my fav Swiss Dots folder.  OK, Cuttlebug keeps coming out with amazing embossing folders (not to mention SU and PTI), but seriously, I ONLY EVER use the Swiss Dots!  I used the Dotted Scalloped border punch to add a tiny bit of interest at the bottom.  Rachel is out of this punch right now, but you can email her of your interest.  I pierced each scallop of the circle and highlighted the hole with a white gel pen to mimic the border punch at the bottom.

AND there is a SALE going on at Hope Stamps Eternal right now!  All Imaginisce and Bella Blvd papers are on sale 15% off!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC53 when uploading to SCS. Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #52

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out this creation!  It's a combo cake/cupcake BONANZA!  Look at the fun flowers and colors?!  Pretty cute, huh?!?

I was inspired by the hot pink trim on the plates and flowers and matted my layers with Raspberry Fizz!  I colored my Miss Anya Love image, with copic markers and added some pearl accents.  I often get asked what ink I use with my copic markers.  HANDS DOWN, Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa.  It does not need to be heat set and doesn't smear at all with copics!

The pattern paper is Basic Grey, Green at Heart.  I did a bit of stitching around the frame -both straight and zig-zag!  Whoa, GO me!!  LOL!

I used Mercy's sketch #62 for the layout.  I love this one, simple and pretty.  Great sketch to showcase an image.  And see the cording thru the button?  That was recycled from some packaging on one of my boys toys!  The perfect size, I didn't trim it or anything.  The pearl pins were from my craft supply.

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC52 when uploading to SCS. Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out these amazing butterfly cupcakes! Aren't they stunning and delicate?!?The colors on cupcakes inspired me to use the new Basic Grey, Kioshi paper. OK, remember all my fancy talk about not liking Basic Grey as much lately? WELL, I STAND CORRECTED! Basic Grey has redeemed themselves in my eyes with these amazing Kioshi and Green at Heart papers! Sigh... LOVE them!

I have been feeling a bit "vintage-y" lately and have been doing some stitching and sponging on my cards. There is a little bit of everything on this card. I have some of the 1.5" silk ribbon, velvet ric rac, Labels 4, tag and Daisy Heads Spellbinders, button, stickles (on the flower bloom), Swiss Dots EF, and rhinestones! Whew! Check out this cute St. Patty's Day cupcake! But before I get to my card... WE HAVE A NEW SWEETIE IN TOWN! Yes, please help me to welcome Karen Giron, The Sweetest Thing as the newest HSE Sweetie! Some of you may be familiar with her amazing Sunday sketches? We are thrilled to have her on the team!!

And now for my card, I took my inspiration from the green on the cuppie and went with some green patterns from Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird paper. Yep, still my favorite paper, altho Devonshire and Peachy Keen are a SUPER CLOSE SECOND!

OK, first I have to say, this card has lots of stuff going on. Lately I have migrated to CAS, but this one definitely ISN'T! I love how it turned out, I just kept piling stuff on! The layout is Mojo127 from a couple weeks ago. I used my new SU! 2-step bird punch and the amazing sentiment is from Verve's Big Wish. AND what about that gorgeous Velvet Ric Rac ribbon? Yummm! Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #49

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal! Check out these beautiful cupcakes! Aren't they just a breath of fresh air?!?My card uses the new and AMAZING pattern paper from KaiserCraft called Devonshire. Rachel is now carrying a full line of KaiserCraft goodies!! OK, I have a new love -Cosmo is still my fav, but Basic Grey-who?!? I LOVE KAISERCRAFT PADS! They have amazing patterns and in each one there are FOUR pages of die cuts! The sentiment panel is a die cut -there are lots of fun shapes, tags and borders too.

The sentiment is from Verve's new Big Wish set and the birdie is from KaiserCraft's Peachy Keen stamp set (OK, Peachy Keen is another amazing Kaiser line!!). I used the tiny crystals for the bird's eye and on the sentiment "y" from the Zva Creative Round Wheel. The prima flowers are from the Devonshire embellishment pack -oh yeah, there are coordinating embellishment packs for each pad -it just keeps getting BETTER AND BETTER!
