White poinsettia Christmas cards

Hi everyone! Well, it's that time again -time to focus on making Christmas cards!! And with the right supplies you can make some gorgeous Christmas cards. Today I am sharing a couple cards using the Holiday Blooms die set by Spellbinders. All I can say is WOW. What a stunning die set.

I started out with making a slimline card and then with all the extra die cuts and patterned paper I was able to make a second card with little effort! First up the mini slimline card, check it out.

 Supplies used on this card:
Holiday Blooms die set (Scrapbook.com)

Master Layouts 7 (slimline dies)
Master Layouts 7 (Scrapbook.com)

Craft Consortium Wood Textures 6x6 paper pad
Winsor & Newton White Gouache

I wanted to keep the color palette simple with the white poinsettias, so I used 2 colors of green and did some sponging with a sage green ink for the centers and some leaf clusters. I added a few pops of red to keep things lively.
Next is a card I made by using the extra die cuts and scraps of the wood texture paper. I grabbed a piece of cardstock already embossed from my stash and organized them into a smaller cluster. I love how this one turned out! And adding the sentiment from Gina K's Sentiment Sheet is such a quick and easy to add a sentiment with little effort. She has sentiment sheets for other occasions as well, check them out here.
