No coloring floral cards - Gina K Designs August release

Hi everyone! Tonight is the July release for Gina K Designs and I am SO EXCITED to share a few cards using the new Grateful Spray stamp set with coordinating die set!! There are many other fabulous stamp and die sets in this release, so be sure to check them all out!!

Don't have time to color these beautiful floral sprays? Maybe a bit intimidated and don't know where to start? Yeah, sometimes I'm right there with you! Don't worry, I got you!! Here are 2 ways to use this gorgeous floral spray with NO coloring.

First up I kept the image with no color at all. I heat embossed this in black, die cut them out, layered them and left as is. Placed over a colorful background and the images are allowed to shine.

To create the background, I taped off some diagonal stripes on my watercolor paper, using 1/4" painters tape. Next I swatched some color from the ink pad on to my glass media mat and spritzed with water. I used the wet on wet method and wet my cardstock with plain water and then added color from the ink pads in an alternating pattern. Let dry and trim. It is super easy and allows you to use your ink pads in a different way.

Colors used: Blue Denim, Blue Raspberry and Powder Blue

Next up I used the larger spray image along with 2 left over pieces from the first card. Again, I heat embossed with black, but this time I sponged on some ink to the flowers and leaves. I used the smaller blending brushes -it's funny at first I had NO idea I would use these smaller sizes and I actually gave several of them away! Now I wish I had them all, thankfully I kept 2 and now I just clean them really well in between colors.

You can kind of see it in the photo, but I scored the card base every 1/2" to give it a bit of texture. This is a quick and easy to add something special without buying anything special!
Colors used: Dusty Rose, Powder Blue, Sweet Corn and Lucky Clover

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Here are a few close up pictures.
