Simon Hurley Halloween Hugs collection, 3 card designs

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm sharing 3 cards from the Halloween Hugs collection from Simon Hurley for Spellbinders! This collection has the cutest Halloween characters, a sentiment set and 3D Embossing Folder.

To start each card, I chose a piece of pattern paper from the A2 Ghostly pad by Scrapbook.com. I love the colors and patterns in this pad! I used the new Color Block Rectangles die set on the Franc and Sir Skeleton cards. 2 of my cards used the sentiments in the die set, but my Sir Skeleton card uses the "Happy Halloween" from the older Bewitched die set.
I love how these turned out!

Simon Hurley Cascading Coneflower mini collection

Hi crafty friends! Starting this month, Spellbinders is staggering their releases. On June 1st the collections Whimsical Village and Clementine by Rosie's Studio were released.
And today 3 more collections are available!
Stay tuned for 2 more releases!!
I used both the Wild Coneflower and the Big Bold Sentiments die sets for my simple card.
I used the Scribbled Letter embossing folder for the background and added some ink splatter. I used a deep blue for my stems and sentiments and ink blended the flower petals and centers. I love how this turned out.

Simon Hurley Sending Hugs collection

Hi crafty friends! I'm back today with a fun card using some cute stuff from the new Simon Hurley collection for Spellbinders called Sending Hugs. This collection features an adorable dog, cat and Bear/Panda die sets and a puffy heart 3D embossing folder with layering stencil!
How cute is this doggie? So much detail! The die set is called Darling Dog and it's named perfectly 💙 The gorgeous background is the Puffy Heart 3D embossing folder colored with the coordinating Layered Puffy Hearts stencil (currently out of stock).
The details on the cute doggie are fabulous! For the background, I stenciled the hearts with 3 shades of blue (linked below) and adhered it to the card base. For the sentiment, I went old school and used a hole punch on both ends and wrapped my twine and tied into a bow. The little star and heart accents are from the dog color charm dies. I love how this turned out!

Throwback Thursday: Timeless Trees - 2 card designs

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to another Throwback Thursday. Today I am sharing 2 of my favorite Christmas cards I made last year using the Timeless Trees Collection which is designed by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders.
My first card features the Vintage Layered Ornaments die set with some greenery from the Mantel Decorations die set and a single white poinsettia flower from the Holiday Blooms die set.
The sentiment at the bottom is from the negative from the "merry Christmas" banner from card 2.
VINTAGE LAYERED ORNAMENTS AND MANTEL DECORATIONS DIE SETS

My second card uses the adorable Bottle Brush Trees die set and the Christmas banner from the  Mantel Decorations die set with a few things from the Ornaments sprinkled in (the bow and accent dots were negative pieces from the ornaments).
WHIMSICAL BOTTLE BRUSH TREES AND MANTEL DECORATIONS DIE SETS

Both cards use a piece of paper from the Snow Days A2 paper pad for the background along with gold glitter and gold satin cardstock. I used the Perfect Touch Rectangles die set for the white panel on both cards. The mantel greenery and adorable bottle brush trees were die cut from white cardstock and inked green. With the trees, I added touches of Snow-Tex added to the ends.
I love how both turned out!!

Simon Hurley Christmas Hugs

Hi crafty friends! I have a fun snowman card to share today. This cutie is from a stamp/die set designed by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders. And the background uses a Poly-Glaze foil sheet I had in my stash! Scroll down for a list of supplies.
To make the background, I used the Poly-Glaze foil sheet called Blanket of Snow from Gina K Designs with the Deco-foil Sparkling Silver. To use these sheets, you need a use a laminator like Gina's Fuse machine or Anna Griffin's Minc. I ink blended the sheet with Distress Oxide Inks listed below. These Poly-Glaze sheets take ink beautifully!
The adorable snowman is from the Christmas Hugs stamp and die set and I colored him with Copic markers. I popped him up with foam squares on the Perfect Touch Arches die set then embossed with the Tiny Dots EF.
I colored his scarf with a variety of blues to compliment the background. I love how this turned out!

Simon Hurley Ski-son's Greetings

Hi crafty friends! Attention snow bunnies! Simon Hurley is out with a new ski themed collection with Spellbinders called Ski-son's Greetings. This collection features a ski lodge die set, skiers die set, snow tracks 3D embossing folder and sentiments. Check out what I made and scroll down for a complete supply list.
My background uses the Streamline 3D embossing folder with Stickles highlighting the ski tracks and snow dots. This gives the white background some sparkle and depth! The main image is ski lodge die set and is fabulous!!
I love all the details on this lodge for my color inspiration, I googled A-frame ski lodge and saw a gorgeous photo of a black one with green trim. My actual house is a deep brown with forest green trim, so I was immediately drawn to it. To bring a little life to my trees I added some tiny gems as ornaments. I love how this turned out.

Simon Hurley Spooktacular: 2 card designs

Hi crafty friends! I have 2 fun Halloween cards to share today. I am using the new Spooktacular collection by Spellbinders designed by Simon Hurley.
Check out both my cards and scroll down for a clickable supply list.
First up is a circle card using 2 of the items from the collection. The fabulous cat is from the Bewitched die set and the split background uses both the Damask 3D embossing folder and paper from the A2 Spooky paper pad. Oh and the little bats are from a die set released last year called Haunted House (sold out).
Note: Bewitched is currently sold out on Spellbinders website, but is in stock at Scrapbook.com
Next we have these darling ghosts which are from the Boo Crew die set. These ghosts are so cute and the set has a variety of hats, ties and glasses options! Once again, I used some of the A2 Spooky paper pad along the bottom.
I love how both of these turned out!

Spellbinders The North Pole Collection: Polar Bear Pals

Hi crafty friends! We're continuing with Christmas in July with Spellbinders and today I am sharing a an adorable polar bear card using North Pole Friends Collection. This collection is designed by Simon Hurley and features 5 adorable Christmas die sets, a Penguin, Snowman (and Sentiments), Polar Bears, Santa and Elves! So adorable! If you missed my first card from this collection, you can check it out here.
These adorable polar bears are from the Polar Bear Pals die set. This set has 3 polar bears and accessories for each.💖
For my die cut panel, I ink blended white cardstock and added some snowflakes that were cut from the glitter cardstock from the Antique White Assorted Treasure Cardstock pack. So many awesome cardstock in these packs! I matted it to Pomegranate cardstock.
I used a piece of patterned paper from my stash and pulled the colors for the hats, sweater and scarf to coordinate. I die cut the polar bears from white and inked blended them with a combo of kraft and gray ink. These guys are so so cute!!
I love how this turned out!

Space Adventure UFO Birthday Card

Hi crafty friends! I have a fun birthday card to share. Spellbinders released a fun Alien/UFO collection designed by Simon Hurley called Simon's Space Adventure. This collection features 2 die sets, 1 sentiment die set, 1 3D Emboss and Cut folder with a matching stencil! It's adorable and if you have a UFO fan in your life this is a great collection for you.
Scroll down for complete product list.
UFO FRIEND AND SPACE GREETINGS DIE SETS

I was scrolling on Pinterest looking for inspiration and found a digital card from K&S Design Co with a similar UFO. It was adorable and I had to CASE it. I love the soft muted color palette. Not something I normally gravitate to and I think it turned out so cute.
I used the White Splatter from Spellbinders for the background. This is a small pot with concentrated opaque white pigment. You need to add water to it to get it to splatter. I love how it shows up on black cardstock!
To get the UFO "light beams" I used the Rainbow Slice Tunnel die set from the Tunnel Scapes Collection. I didn't use them in their "tunnel" shape, I cut them apart and used the same side of the "tunnel" to get the layers to match. If you want to see another card using the Rainbow Slice Tunnel, you can check this post.

Spellbinders Playful Penguins Christmas card

Hi everyone! I have a fun Christmas critter card using the adorable Playful Penguins die set from Simon Hurley's latest collection from Spellbinders.
PLAYFUL PENGUINS AND LAYERING SNOWFLAKES DIE SET

The Playful Penguins die set features 3 penguins and a few accessories including hats, sweater and mittens, a wreath and gift. So cute! I used the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder inked with some light blue in as the background. I have my 2 penguins on top of the largest snowflake from the Layering Snowflakes die set which is also from the collection.
I love the tiny pops of red I put in the bow and hat.
The fluff on their hats is from liquid applique! It's my favorite way to add a little wow factor!

Special friend birthday cake card

Hi everyone! Like most of you, I share my cards with family and friends and by FAR the most requested cards are for birthdays. I could pretty much make only birthday cards and that would be fine with everyone else -lol! So I was excited to see this new Birthday Basics stamp and die set by Simon Hurley in collaboration with Spellbinders. Check out what I made.

The stamp set has a large cake, presents, balloons with several sentiments for all your birthday card needs. I used the cake and adorned it with tiny flower die cuts from the Mini Blooms and Sprigs die set. The sentiment is foiled with gold and comes from the new Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments. I added some gold pearls and a small bow for the final touches.

Simon has a couple other sets in this latest release. There are also Butterfly and Succulents stamp sets each with coordinating dies! So if they are your thing check them out!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
