Gettin' Dirty!

Yep! The Dare to Get Dirty challenges are still in effect! Have you all been playing along? Friday, yesterday and today every hour a new challenge is posted hosted by a Dirty Girl! You need to be a SplitcoastStamper Fan Club member to see the challenge threads, you can find all the FC details here.

I have several challenge cards to share. First up, another bright and cheery Get Well Soon card. I played in Becca's challenge -to use dies or punches, AND this week's today's Ways to use it challenge -to use charms, AND last week's week's Fall to layout 51 for the sketch. -Whew -a triple challenge card.

I used some of my DCWV citrus paper for the colors. I think get well cards should be bright and cheery!! I covered some chipboard for the corner. I made the flower embellishment with my Blossom nestabilities. The button and cord are from PHH.

Next I have another triple challenge card. Cindy's sketch, Lauraly's ribbon and Bonnie's wings challenges!! Here is a link to the master challenge thread where you can find all three.

The texture cardstock is DCWV metallic matstack in copper, the pattern paper is Basic Grey Cupcake, the Oregon Raindrops are the Denim bottle from PHH, and the lovely angels image is from Crafty Secrets their Fairy Enchanting stickers!

And last I have a card for Cindy Haffner's sketch challenge. I can't get enough of these sketches, and there was another posted today that I am dying to use!! The DP is SU! designer print series and the circle chipboard piece is from Basic Grey's Lemonade Chipboard stickers (yep, still using these). Some silver pearls from Michael's in the bottom corner -soooo love them!!

A couple cards and a couple shout outs

First the shout outs! Jacksonbelle Embellishments is having a FABULOUS sale -everything 30% off. Lindsey is making room for all the CHA goodies she ordered! The sale goes until Tuesday (2/10) midnight! Just enter Promo Code: Feb30 and it will take the discount off your order!!

Second shout out is for my friend Lori (Paper Sunshine)! She enabled my Edward obsession even more by letting me know about www.Thecutestblogontheblock.com. I found a wonderful BLINKIE! Check it out on the right -right below my NEW Edward eye candy slideshow!! LOL!

Now on to the cards. The first card is a triple challenge card. The first is from Flourishes to create a card using a lovely peacock feather as inspiration -isn't it PRETTY? I used the lovely blue and green colors with a splash of orange! You can find the details here. The next was this week's Ways to Use it challenge which was to layer your embellishments. I layered my prima with a button and ribbon.

And lastly, I used Tayolor's FAB cupcake sketch, TECC54! I painted the coffee cups and the prima flower with Angel Wings Shimmerz. The fabu 1/8" organdy ribbon is from Pinkhedgehog Papercrafts. Here is a pic of some of the supplies I used. (you can click on it and it will enlarge).

This second card is for the wonderful Color Challenge going on at PaperTrey Ink!! It ends tonight, midnight PST so hurry! The challenge was to use Summer Sunrise, Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy and Ocean Tides. Well, I only had Summer Sunrise, so the rest I substituted Old Olive, Red Rose and Baja Breeze -not sure if they really match all that well as I have never seen the colors IRL!

I wanted to go simple, as I was really short on time! So I cased the layout of one of the gift sets I did for one of my Dirty Dozen monthly themes -colors of the rainbow. So fun and versitile way to get colors on a card!! The sentiment is from PTI's Birthday Basics!

Card Deets (coffee card):
Stamps: Coffee with Friends (Flourishes)
Paper: old olive, MME magnolia DP
Ink: adirondack pitch black
Accessories: copic markers, prima, 1/8" organdy ribbon, 1" grosgrain light blue ribbon, rectangle nesties, shimmerz

A couple challenge cards to share

I haven't had a chance to post my Sketch challenge card these last couple days, so today I am posting cards for 2 challenges.
First up, the SCS Sketch challenge. This card was also for the Crafty Secrets weekly challenge -this week was to use NEW things on your card. I like these challenges, cause I love using new things! The images are from CS Birds Galore set. I colored the birdies with prismacolor pencils and popped them up on dimensionals. I used Angel Wings Shimmerz on the birds and the primas. The new things on this card is the DP is my new Basic Grey pad, Granola, the Primas are new from the Youth bottle and the buttons are also from Basic Grey Granola!

Here is a close up of the flowers. You can kind of see the Shimmerz on them.

P.S. If you like this card and have a minute, I would love it if you would post a comment in my SCS gallery on it. There is a little contest going on with the Crafty Secrets challenge! Here is the link to the card.

Next I have a triple challenge card. I started out doing the SCS Ways To Use It challenge. I like these challenges, but rarely have a chance to play along on Thursdays.

Last night I found time and combined it with This card uses Julee's Mojo Monday 69 sketch for the layout. Love Julee's sketches! And lastly, this card is also for a weekly challenge I do with some SCS friends called the Double Dare Challenge (DDC). We would love to have you join in on our Double Dare Challenges every Tuesday. My card uses the Boho Blossom punch that coordinates with the One of a Kind set. My background stamp is the retired Simple Stripes. That large brad is from Basic Grey, the Bittersweet glazed brads. LOVE them! Here is the inside of the card.

Mad for plaid for Dad

Today's Ways To Use It challenge (WT188) on SCS is Mad for Plaid -to use plaid in any way. Well, perfect timing. While the boys are at preschool today I was planning on making my dad a birthday card which is next week. This stresses me out every year! My dad is a manly man who lives WAY out in the sticks on a ranch. Seriously, the driveway is over 1 mile long, straight up hill. Lots of jokes about walking home from school -LOL!
Anyway, I have already made him cards using Bronco Buster, Classic Pickups, Classic convertibles. I was pretty stumped! But I pulled out the brown and tan plaid paper from Hot off the Press and my Just Rite stampers kit. I made him a set of note cards using his initials using the Times New Roman font -very masculine. He does some business from time to time, so I thought he could use these for various occasions. The 7/8" choc grosgrain and caramel brads are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts.
This set is pretty straight forward and masculine. I hope he likes them!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Just Rite stampers Times New Roman font
Paper - Choc chip, creamy caramel, bravo burgundy, HOTP DP
Ink - Choc chip
Accessories - ribbon, circle nesties, brads
