Magical Deer and Song bird - folk art inspired Christmas cards

Hi everyone! I'm sharing a few cards from the new collection by Spellbinders called Winter Tales, designed by Zsoka Marko. Zsoka was inspired by Norwegian folk art when designing this entire collection. I was not familiar with this style, so I looked at Etsy for some inspiration and wow was I surprised! It is filled with bright bold colors, scroll work, flowers and lots of elements in the background.

This card features the reindeer from the Magical Deer die set. I had fun with colors on this one and die cut every image in the set in 5 colors, 2 shades of beige, 2 shades of blue and a burgundy. I kind of played around with the colors and layout mixing and matching the elements. The branch I used for the border is from the set Folk Song.

The background is embossed with the Sweater Weather embossing folder. This fabulous set is sold out, so be sure to hit the "notify me when available button".

My next card features the adorable bird from the Folk Song die set (which is still IN STOCK). I kept the same colors and die cut all the elements with each of them. The background is embossed with the Ski Lodge embossing folder and lightly swiped with white pigment ink,

The circle ring the bird is perched on is from the Fluted Classic Circles die set. Both cards use the Glimmer sentiment set Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips. I die cut them on glossy black cardstock with silver foil.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
