Hi everyone! May Arts Silk Ribbon has been a long time favorite of mine and one of the biggest sellers at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. We know many of you love
using silk ribbon as well, and to make color
selection easier and to take the guess-work out of it, I have prepared a
color chart. This chart compares all the May Arts Silk Ribbon colors to both
Stampin’ Up and A|Muse Studios cardstock colors.
Here are the charts:
I
hope you find these charts useful. I had a
lot fun making them and they will be the first of many ribbon type
color charts. Let me know if you have a particular ribbon type you would like to see on a color comparison chart and I'll add it to the to-do list.

Check out all the girls in today's hop:
I am still (trying to) take a break from stamping this month, so I didn't make a new card today. But here are a couple of 3x3 note cards I made a couple years ago using the 1.5" Ivory silk ribbon and the oldie but goodie Lilac Avenue pad from Kaisercraft (which is on sale now!).
A little tip, don't be afraid to use the wide silk ribbon on a small card, it folds and layers beautifully and can really make a statement!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!!
Thanks for the color chart. It will come in handy. I love May Arts silks. That Pastels Sampler is gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous choices for fall!! And the color charts are a big help. That first card REALLY showcases the drape of this fabulous silk ribbon.

ReplyDeleteWhooooHoooo! Thanks so much for making that silk ribbon color match chart!! Tho I don't have many of the SU inks, I can totally get the idea of the shade of the ribbon. This is so helpful & inspiring. Thanks for the encouragement to use the big ribbon on small cards. I have some and it just seems sooo big that I haven't used it yet. And the small ribbon is so small, I wish there was a size in between. Hmmm, now I know what colors I want on my next order! Love the sampler packs. :)

Thank you so much for your color chart. I've had my eye on the silk ribbon for some time but have been unsure about what colors to get. Now I can select those which coordinate with paper I have! Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Your bows are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards - the bows are such a fabulous touch to finish them off and make them outstanding.
ReplyDeleteSame colors, and ribbon - two totally unique looks! Thx
ReplyDeleteI love this, Michelle! Thank you for letting me know about a new ribbon company. I will definitely check them out. Hopefully their shipping to Canada is reasonable!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are gorgeous! Your chart is awesome, much better than the one I am working on. LOL Might have to make some modifications to mine now. hee hee
ReplyDeleteWOW! You read my mind, Michelle! I was just thinking that is wide ribbon for a 3"x3" card! It is fabulously elegant! I truly like both cards, but since purple is my favorite color...I love that purple flower with the pearl. Although the second card would be great for thank you's especially for the holiday time...it looks like the tag is an ornament. I love this ribbon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
