RG Celebra’tions Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Week 2 of the RG Blog Hop! Today the RG Make Amazing design team is showcasing the Celebra'tions Collection!

Here is Richard's description of his Celebra'tions collection:
"This Celebra'tions collection is filled with color and hooray! The opportunity to celebrate that special moment and bring paper to life with yummy designs, amazing textures and an inviting color pallete is what makes this collection something to celebrate about!"

My card uses the Fringed Garland die along with a few Pierced hearts and sentiment from the All You die set.  The fringe part was pretty easy to make, I put my paper on 1/2 of the die and gave them some curl with my thumb nail.  I layered them on top of each other and adhered them down.  That's pretty much it!
Soooooo, how about some prizes?!?  There are some GREAT goodies from the Celebra'tions collection up for grabs for one lucky winner:
And there is a GRAND PRIZE FOR ONE LUCKY WINNER!
In addition to this Exclusive RG messenger bag with floral print lining matches one of Richard's new collections, the grand prize winner will receive ALL four prize packages from each of the four weeks of giveaways!

Heart You card

Hi everyone!  I was in the mood to play around with my embossing paste, so I made this "heart you" card.  I like how the embossing paste adds just the right amount of texture combined with the texture plate from the Build-a-Tag One die set.
Notice my embossing paste is pink?  I added a bit of color to my white paste by using the FSJ Bubblegum Pink silk!  It's a fun way to customize and match colors on your project.
I use the Diagonal Chevron die to make my stencil. I wanted the triangle corner pieces along the bottom left, so I flipped the die cut over and taped it down.  I added paste to the first 4 openings.
Here are the tag die sets I used:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.  You can really see the dimension and texture the tag texture plate added!

Fun fringy card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun fringy card to share today.  There is a new fringe die in town and it's SUPER fun.  It's part of the Celebra'tions line from Spellbinders.
I die cut a variety of blue colors in the fringe and created an ombre effect.  I originally wanted this to say congrats and be a graduation card, but the word was too long and didn't look right.  So SMILE it is!  I added some gold glittered washi tape along the top and some fun gold sequins for accents.
Here is the fringe die.  It's designed to be folded over, but for my card I trimmed it to have one layer for each color.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up pic.

Conversation bubbles card

Hi everyone!!  I have a fun card to share.  This one uses 3 of the 4 Conversation Bubble die sets, which are part of the Die D-Lites line (and only $10).  SO.  Stinkin'.  Cute!  I could make cards with these all day.
The embossed background is from one of my favorites the Lovely Lattice embossing folder.  Spellbinders folders are double sided, so you get 2 designs for the price of one!!
The striped rectangle bubble normally has the pointer on the right side, but I wanted more balance so I flipped it over and you really can't tell at all.  I added a bit of ribbon to a mini paper clip which is something I never do, but think is super cute!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.
Card Deets:
Spellbinders Supplies:
Dies Conversation Bubble 1 (S2-135), Conversation Bubble 2 (S2-136) and Conversation Bubble 3 (S2-137); Lovely Lattice folder (ES-009); Celebra'tions Just Because stamp set (SCSD-008)
Other Supplies:
My Mind's Eye enamel dots; White embossing powder; Versamark ink; Fun Stamper's Journey Mini paper clip
Adhesive: Tombow USA Mono Multi liquid glue; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Squares

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to announce a winner from my Fun Stampers Journey Up Up & Away Retirement blog hop! Happy sunshine card

Hi everyone!  Since I am finally vertigo free, I was inspired to make this happy fun sun shiny card!  This card uses one of the new Bordered Sentiments dies.
I die cut the sentiment from gold glitter paper and I ended up cutting the letters off their "border" so they could rest along the curve of the patterned paper.  The sun is from the Sunny Days stamp and die set which I stamped in Golden Glow ink and cut from Golden Glow cardstock.
The butterflies are from the new Marisa's Bouquet die set.  I love all the flowers in this set and they didn't work out on this card, but I was able to use the cute little butterflies.

Isn't this set adorable!?!  Bordered Sentiments:

A special thank you and Celebra'tions giveaway!

Hi everyone!  I often hear from crafty bloggers how wonderful their readers are and I have to agree.  I think in general, crafters are a wonderful and generous people!  I've mentioned on my last couple of posts how many of you reached out to me in comments and emails about my struggle with chronic vertigo and I want to say thank you again and mention one reader in particular.

I would like to give a special shout out and thank you to
Denise B!

Not only did she reach out to me about my vertigo, but she emailed me again and linked a video from a doctor in Colorado who developed a maneuver for vertigo sufferers who don't have luck with the Epley maneuver.  I am thrilled to report that within hours of trying the "half somersault" maneuver I am VERTIGO FREE.  After 34 days, yes 34 DAYS of vertigo, it was gone. A true miracle.  If not for  Denise and that maneuver I would have spent countless days suffering and time and energy with specialty doctors and additional medications.  I shudder to think.
EDITED: in case anyone wants to know, the info is: Dr. Carol Foster from the University of Colorado Denver.  A YouTube search will show her Half Somersault video.

Now being vertigo free is something to celebrate, so how about a little give away of Spellbinders Celebra'tions goodies?!?  Yes please!!

Here is what I have to give away:
  • Fabric Weave embossing folder
  • Celebrate die plate
  • Just Because stamp and die set
  • Beautiful Friend stamp set
  • Save the Date stamp set
  • Pixie Play ink
  • Pretty Plum ink
EDITED: I should add that I already sent Denise B a fun package of goodies in the theme of her favorite color.  I add this because one of my lovely commenters asked if she win she wanted me to mail the prize package to Denise.  Carol H, you are so lovely and thoughtful!!

To enter this giveaway, just leave me a comment here on this post.  If you would like share something nice that you did for someone OR what someone did for you that would be wonderful, but not manditory.  I will chose a winner on Wednesday, May 6th.

Thank you and good luck!

It's Coffee Time!

Hi everyone!  Today's card uses a new coffee themed stamp set from the Celebrations line called Cup for Two.  Do you spy some Fun Filled Rings as well?  Yep.  Couldn't resist adding a few pink rings to compliment my pink polka dot cup!
This stamp set has 3 adorable cup designs and 2 sentiments.  I stamped the polka dot image in the Captivating Coral ink (which seriously has magical qualities of appearing pinkish next to pink and more coral-ly next to coral and oranges!), fussy cut it out and added some sequins for steam and a heart embellishment.
Here is Cup for Two:
Don't forget Fun Filled Rings:

Quick and easy birthday card

Hi everyone!  Today's card features another FUN new card front die from the Celebra'tions line.  This one is called Happy Birthday and you may recognize the elephant and presents images which are also in the stamp set, Your Day which I used on this card.
I love these new card front dies!  There are 4 different designs released, Happy Birthday, Eat Cake, Celebrate and It's a Party and they all make cute and detailed card fronts with one pass through the Grand Calibur.
I dressed it up by sponging Versamark ink to the openings and embossing with glitter EP and then added an extra layer of flowers.  But it's just as cute if you cut them and leave as is.  Either way they make quick and easy cards!!
 Happy Birthday card front die:
The flowers on the die match the stamp and die set, Just Because, so I stamped and embossed a couple more for an extra layer on my card.  I also want too mention that the elephant from the stamp set is slightly smaller than this die cut.   My idea was to stamp him on top of the die cut, but it didn't work out.

I wanted to give a quick update on my vertigo.  Thank you again for all your emails and comments.  Things slowly improved after my last course of meds and then reached a plateau.  I am functioning at about 80% and still get dizzy with laying down, getting up and looking up.  I am currently looking for a local ENT doc without an appt window of over a month.  Sigh.. things are never simple, are they?   Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.

Love card

Hi everyone!  Today's Love card features all kinds of new Celebra'tions goodies!  First of all, there are new HEART shaped dies with piercing elements.  Pierced heart dies?  YES please!!  Oh and did I mention there were new Pierced Star dies?  Yes to those too :-)
I used a piece of the Special Occasion Prints patterned paper and frame it with a heart die cut opening to make this simple wedding/love card.  I added a couple sequins and enamel heart for embellies.
Here are the lovely new Pierced Heart dies.  Happy sigh...
The sentiment is from the set of 3 word die sets called All You these measure around 2":

Happy birthday elephant

Hi everyone!  Today's birthday card features the adorable elephant image from Celebra'tions Your Day stamp set and he is framed by the Framed Canvas embossing folder with an oval cut out.
This little guy makes me smile!!  I paper pieced each present with a different patterned paper from the Celebra'tion Prints pack and I accented it with some of the new sequins.  Another reason I like this elephant is cause it's easy coloring - I basically colored him with 2 grey Copic markers, a touch of light brown on the ground and called it done.  Oh and paper piecing the presents = no coloring.  Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fun filled green rings

Hi everyone!  I want to thank everyone for the well wishes, comments and emails after my last post.  Sadly this new course of meds does not seem to be helping with my vertigo, so my next step is to see an ear specialist.  Fingers crossed!

Today I am sharing another card using the new Celebra'tions release.  You can check out the entire Celebra'tions collection here!

My card uses the cute new die set called, Fun Filled Rings.  It's adorable!  The set has 9 circle rings that all nest and have varying widths!!
I cut my rings in the various green cardstock and patterned paper and made a fun bulls-eye card!  The sentiment is from the stamp set # Tweet.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.
