Spellbinders My Sweet Friend

 Hi everyone! I went a little out of my comfort zone and made a 5x7 card! I used the new My Sweet Friend set from the Right Words collection designed by Becca Feeken and it fit PERFECTLY on this peek-a-boo frame card base.

Here is a short video showing how I adhered the open frame to create the card base:

 

If you can't view the video, essentially I scored the bottom panel about 1" in from the left and adhered that 1" portion to the top panel. This creates a way to open the card without having a score line on the front. You can also head over to my Instagram Reels page and watch it there.

 You'll notice I cut up my green leafy vines to fit the card areas. Don't be shy to cut up your die cuts. Using them in other ways gives them much more versatility!

Reworked gardenia slimline card

Hi everyone! So, do you ever make a card and something is just off? On my last blog post you will find a slimline card I made with the NEW Spellbinders Half Slimline Diamond die set and the Gardenia flower dies. 

 I liked the card, it was vertical and had the flowers inked in rainbow order, but something was just off. 

So I reworked it and now I really love it! First I gently lifted up the white pieces cut with the Half Slimline Diamond die set and I layered a pink piece under them. Then I changed the orientation and removed the orange and blue Gardenia flowers, added some die cut some leaves in a pale green and changed the sentiment to Congrats from the Perfectly Mix & Matched Sentiments die set.

 There were some other small changes. I removed all the gold thread and gems. All and all I am happy with this version.
