Paper inspired love card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun card to share today. I received the new My Mind's Eye Just Sayin' 6x6 pad and was TOTALLY inspired by this gorgeous paper in it.
Isnt' it lovely with all the flowers, flourishes and hearts?!?
I dug through my dies to see what I had to help recreate this gorgeous look. Here is what I came up with.
First, I knew I wanted to work with the new Cascade Dots die from the new Decorative Card Front series.  These are A2 card sized and there are 9 designs released in the series.  They are on pre-order with shipping in October.
I used it as a stencil with some embossing paste for some fun texture.  After playing around with it for awhile, I wanted to make it pink and to do that I added a drop of reinker to it.  Mix it in and you have a custom color!
Next I taped the die cut down so it wouldn't move, I spread the paste starting from the lower right corner.  I did it kind of messily instead of spreading it precicely and smoothly.  After removing the stencil, you do have a minute or so to make some corrections.
I also used the new Sentiments 3 dies.  I just LOVE the new Sentiments series dies they are so pretty and loopy!  There are 3 new ones and they are also on pre-order shipping out in October.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!!  Here is a close up pic.

So Blessed

Hi everyone!  I have a quick post for you all today.  Lots going on in the Woerner household, we bought a 42" flat screen TV and there is alot of excitement around here!  Yeah, I finally decided to upgrade from the 27" old one I had from college.  lol!

My card uses something old and something new.  I used the fabulous older Verve set, Just for You and my brand new MME, Stella Rose "Hazel" 6x6 pad.  The rhinestone flourish is from Zva Creative from one of their flourish packages, but I cut it up and changed the rhinestone arrangement to fit my card.  The small flower accents are from a tiny flower punch that I "curled" using my stylus tool.
Thanks for stopping by and I will leave you with a close up picture.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Just For You (Verve Stamps)
Ink - Ranger distress ink Vintage Photo
Paper - Vintage Cream cardstock, Stella Rose "Hazel" 6x6 pad (MME)
Accessories - Classic circle nestabilities (Spellbinders), crystal flourish (Zva Creative), teal crocheted trim (my stash), sewing machine, Scallop trim border punch (SU!), pink mulberry flower (Recollections by Michael's)

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #58

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out these bold and bright cupcakes!

I just loved all the vibrant colors in this picture and took the opportunity to bust out my Hibiscus Burst and Kiwi Kiss cardstock!  I used some Basic Grey Green at Heart pattern paper and some Zva Creative felt flowers.  This card is pretty simple.  I kept trying to add something to the sentiment panel, but it ended up that I kinda like all the white space.

The layout is from last week's Card Pattern's sketch 62.  LOVE this circle sketch!!  I am behind on all the sketches cause I spent all last week picking out kitchen cabinets, quartz countertops and flooring for my kitchen remodel!  Lots of fun, but a bit stressful too!

Important Notice:  Most of you have heard that
Hope Stamps Eternal is closing.  Sniff, sniff!  But before the doors finally close, there is a storewide sale of 45% off while supplies last.  Take advantage of this sale while you can!

Be sure to check out my fellow HSE Sweeties to see how they rocked these cupcakes!

Rachel - Hope Stamps Eternal
Colleen - Glitter Ink  (has the week off)
Teresa - Enjoy the VA Sunshine
Karen - The Sweetest Thing

Fabulous Friends with Flair

Hi everyone!  I have been a busy little bee getting the kitchen remodel going.  Lots of decisions to make up front then, a very long wait until demo and installation.  I have a new floor plan decided on, countertops, floors, and cabinets chosen.  There are still some little things to decide on, but the installation won't be until July, so I have time!

Welcome to Friday with Flair!  It's been awhile, but I love it when I have time to play along!  Angela has the master list of all the 50 designers participating in the FWF this week, so take a lookie at the Unity Blog for the names/links of everyone.

My card uses my current FAVORITE Ippity stamp set, Where You Should Be.  Sigh... EVERY stamp in this set just makes me smile.  I stamped the leaf images in Spring Moss and the sentiment in Chocolate Chip.  The pattern paper is from Bella Blvd, the Plastino Collection.

Hope Stamps Eternal is closing it's doors, and the Going Out of Business sale is 35% off store wide!

Verve Release Day and the last set Spotlight -One Person

Hi everyone!  Today is Verve's RELEASE DAY!  I hope you'll come by our Release Party tonight for a little chatting, set reveals, winner announcements and some more sneak peek eye candy from the Divas!  The party starts at 6PM Pacific, and at 8PM Pacific the sets will go live in the Verve store!

AND over on the Verve blog I have spotlighted the final set of the release, One Person.  Hop on over there to see what the Divas have created!  Plus, there is a chance to win one of these awesome new releases just for commenting on our spotlight posts.  The deadline for comments is 3PM Pacific tonight!

My sneak peek card uses one of the amazing quotes in this set.  I used a piece of Webster's Pages, Postcards from Paris papers.  (Note, Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is out of this paper now, but has plenty of Graphic 45 papers that have the same vintage feel to them!).  I used a layout from Sherry's Zva Creative sketch challenge.  Like I often do, I got 1/2 the challenge right -it was also supposed to be a COLOR challenge, using light blue, yellow and light gray.  Seriously, I have to read thru these challenges better and WRITE them down!   Sigh... at least I got the sketch right!!  LOL!

The felt flowers are from Zva's Cool and Cozy mix and the flower is a Baby Blue Sweet Blossom. I used a piece of SU! felt ribbon tied with some silver cord

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you tonight at Verve's Release Party!!

Stamps - One Person (Verve)
Ink - Chocolate Chip

TEA for you (not COFFEE) with a little Zva

Hi everyone!  I think I am losing my mind.  No really - LOL.  I thought I was going to share a DOUBLE challenge card, but turns out it only fits ONE challenge!

Verve is having a fun little challenge called Coffee Anyone? Celebrating the stamp set Delightful and Delicious.  And the DT for Zva Creative has sketch/color challenges.  Coffee and Zva, perfect combo right?  Well, after I finished my card, I realized I USED THE WRONG SET.  Evidently, I grabbed A Cup of Life set instead.  Huh?!  Sigh... you would think the TEAPOTS would have been a big clue for me...

Oh well, I love the card, so here it is.  I used the sketch from Kim's blog.  The colors looked to me to be Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart, Dark Gray, White and I chose Kraft as a neutral.  My card uses a Zva Creative felt flower from the Cozy Mix, a Sweet Blossom in white, clear rhinestones from the Round Wheel and some swirl scraps.

I have a fun tip for you: don't be afraid to cut your rhinestone swirls!!  I cut them, rearrange them and save every little rhinestone!  Here is a pic of a brand new rhinestone pack and next to it is my scraps.  For the teapot steam, I searched my swirl scraps until I found the right piece!

Stay tuned everyone!  This is Verve Release Week and my blog will be hoppin' with Verve-y goodness!  There are lots of challenges AND ways to win some Verve Stamps.  You can find more details on the Verve Blog and on SCS at this thread.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
