Hi crafty friends! I'm not gonna lie I am obsessed with cardstock. I don't use that term lightly. I own every color of cardstock from *multiple* companies (Stampin' Up, Concord and 9th, Gina K, and more). So when Spellbinders launched the Colorwheel Cardstock collection, I said "SAY LESS, I'M IN!"
This collection has 48 colors of cardstock! Some of the 48 are older favorites that carried over (we see you FERN and TEAL TOPAZ), but the majority are new!
This is all the colors swatched and cut out with the Color Swatch Petal die set. This die set has 3 pieces and coordinates with the Color Swatch Names stamp set. This stamp set is not necessary, you could hand write the names if you want. And if I decide to swatch all my other companies, I will be writing the names in.

The other die set in the collection is the Color Swatch Wheel die set which creates pretty color combinations. The wheel has 6 petals, which can be modified or combined to make a partial or full circle. I made my color combinations from my beloved color cube. To get the 5 colors, I cut the 6th one off.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl9M-rQ7awF4yripZl0vUxobb4QQOgooW92MtRVd2qMOmzVpDcGg79y-QjmvRausC7YEi-6CTEJBZPwtcPWmXkX6iIX4sE8XzzO7qCO267SXLxiUNGvL7qu9tLCkCK3k7QlVz9a-BOrAbUPeynLtRaYUSXXILAfO8JezqE9q2ES6F_X10dPTZQlsb70r1c/s16000/Michelle-Woerner-February-colorwheel-6-45.jpg)
OK here are my thoughts on the new colors:
Sadly, the 11x8.5 Assortment bundle which is 5 sheets of EVERY color is sold out. So, since I can't purchase that, I made a top 10 Must Have list of new colors. I am partial to lighter shades, so you will see a lot of those in my list. Here they are in no particular order.
Top 10 Must Have Colors (scroll down to the see the colors):
I really love that they made a lot of the color selections in 3 shades. It make's so easy to layer and coordinate. My absolute favorite 3 color hues are Orchid, Mulberry and Violet.
I don't have any insider information, but I suspect Spellbinders will be adding new colors to this collection each year (or more frequently?). As there are a few key colors missing, like a good Sage, a Rose and there are some gaps in the greens.
I'm curious, do you have a favorite? Will you be ordering any new colors?
