Hi everyone! Tonight is Gina K Design's October release and I'm excited to share a 2 cards using the Wishful Roses stamp and die set. You all know I love Roses, they are my favorite flower and named my blog after them. This gorgeous set features 3 roses that have the outline and 2 layered stamps for easy coloring. It has 7 sentiments in a lovely font!
Be sure to check out the What's New Section for ALL the new stamps, dies, stencils and other goodies released tonight.
First up is a mini slimline card with the roses stamped in the Light and Dark Orchid inks. I absolutely LOVE the bright purples of these inks. I added some copic marker at the base of the petals to get a deeper purple color. The leaves are stamped in Lucky Clover.
I used the slimline dies from Master Layouts 7 and did some light partial stenciling for the background. The stencil is part of the Bodacious Blooms stencil set and I used it with Light Spruce ink.
For my next card, I used peach and coral colors for my roses. I used the Sassy Stripes stencil, turned 90 degrees and lightly stenciled the right edge with Peach Bellini ink. I love the subtle effect it has and tied in with the colors in the roses. I added some black paint splatters and adhered the roses to the lower right side. I added some coral and peach sequins for some extra sparkle.
Supplies used on these cards:
