Spellbinders | March 2023 Small Die of the Month

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing 2 cards using Spellbinders March 2023 Small Die of the Month called Floral Butterfly Card front. This die set features a 1/2 card floral front design with a cut out for a butterfly. The idea is you cut it out 2 times and accent it with separate flowers and butterflies.

For my first card, I die cut the card front die 2 times with white cardstock and adhered them over a Barely Peach card base. I chose a light blue and coral color for my butterflies and flowers with gold mirror cardstock accents.

My second card also uses the Embossing Folder of the Month called Stylized Calla Lily.

I layered and adhered a 1" strip of Barely Peach and a 1/4" strip of the coral across the card front. I made a 3rd butterfly to match the 2 on my first card and adhered it in the center. I chose a simple foiled sentiment to go underneath the butterfly.

OK, confession time. It wasn't until I was finishing my card when I realized I had the embossed piece upside down. I didn't realize these were Calla Lily flowers and should be flipped. But I think it looks good this way too!! So happy accident?
